Beating arguably the best tackle in the league. No big deal.

I thought Swann was going to suck dick when yall drafted him tbh. He wasn't really all that impressive at Georgia to me. Some people liked him a lot though.

I remember reading a lot of the same thing after we drafted him, which made me question why we drafted him. Although last night wasn't his best game, he's been a nice surprise so far this season. I think his versatility is going to be one of his best traits for us. After Bush went down, and Samford was starting at FS, Payton said Swann would be the next in line at FS.

Well according to the PFF you were right. He's made nice plays occasionally but he's been the least impressive out of that rookie bunch.

Breaux is our best CB now and is getting better. Eventually he will take that spot even with a healthy KL.

I'm not sure about that. One thing that has disappointed me with Breaux is that he doesn't turn around and look for the ball. He's done it all season. I'm not saying he's garbage, but somebody needs to coach him up on that. They threw at him all night and he rarely turned around and looked for the ball. He's gonna get a ton of PI calls going forward if he doesn't clean that up.

Speaking of which, did I hear that we gave up 6 first downs by penalty last night? Seemed to me the DBs (Browner and Breaux) got flagged all night.

On a positive note, best game of the season for our rookie LBs. Very encouraging.

Cant leave out Richardson either. He was all over the field.

Gwacham was inactive. He's still very raw and learning the defense.

Dude is a converted WR trying to play defense. We know those transitions can take a while and don't always pan out...

You must be mixing him up with breaux because last night he was the only DB that showed up.

I get that.

But he's had 8 snaps so far this season.
In those 8 snaps, he's recorded a QB hit and a QB hurry.
He's also one of two players on the defense with a green pass rush score this season.

Zach Strief is fricking awful and he needs to be replaced before someone bruises a rotator cuff.

Matthews is a pure pass rusher. Not sure he's good against the run.

Breaux had a hell of a game. I really didn't like him the first week, but he's grown on me. His coverage skills are off the charts. He should have had a pick in the endzone on that second down play before Weeden threw the TD pass on 4th down in the 4th Quarter.

Bobby Richardson is going to be really good I think. His run defense is awesome. Needs to work on that pass rush a bit, but so far so good.

Also, Kikaha and Anthony . Best picks we have made in literally a decade. Good shite, Ireland.

He used to be. Not anymore. He plays MLB on more than half the snaps now. Pass coverage and run defense aplenty.

I can agree that Strief hasn't been great, but the fact that he has to play next to Kelemete is a bigger problem.

Kelemete was the worst player on the field last night by A LOT!

Kelemete played fine last week and Strief was getting beat. Kelemete wasn't playing against TB when Strief got raped. It wasn't Kelemete's fault last night when a pass rusher goes right around the edge on Strief.
