Anyone mind grabbing the scores for Unger from 2012-2014?

He's allowed just 6 hits on his QB over the last 3 seasons. Just 31 total pressures over that time span.

Goodwin allowed 8 last year alone. 21 last year alone.

Seems like now might be a good time to cut the guard fat.

I actually think Lelito might make a push for guard.

I think he does too. If not, he adds much needed depth for C and G.

I think that is the direction we're going.

What would be the point at the current moment? I'm sure they have contingency plans in place if it is necessary in order to sign another FA somewhere, but until then we can stand pat. Don't have to restructure or cut either Grubbs or Evans until the picture becomes more clear.

Don't disagree with you there, but at least in the interim we have the benefit of potentially waiting to see what happens in the draft. Also, even if he doesn't start we have the benefit of Lelito having experience at both C and G which gives us some good depth in the situation.

Grubbs and Evans were both way overpaid, especially Evans.

The only thing they really bring is continuity.
Now that we have a study veteran C, I feel we have more flexibility to try other options at guard.
I don't necessarily mean this second.

He's basically saying what I've been saying. We are under the cap so we don't need to cut them right now just in case. But if we need the money for FAs you will see more cuts and/or pay cuts. You don't have to have the room until the deal is actually signed. So you agree on terms with a FA, cut a player, and officially sign the FA.

I think you are saying the same thing though. Burn out is setting in.

Yup. There's no way we go into the actual season with both of them at their current deals, but we have the benefit of being able to wait at the moment to see how the situation develops. I'm sure they have multiple plans in place to adjust (whether cut or paycut) one or both depending on how FA and the draft shake out. Their current contracts shouldn't be a deterrent from us making any potential moves.

Really, we can wait it out and see if Evans recovers from the lower back injury.

Lower back injury was first in 2013, last year he had wrist injuries as well as reported back injuries again which I may be mistaking but did they say he was having surgery this offseason on his lower back?......Anyways the point is it's 2 years in a row with back injury, he's on the wrong side of 30 playing offensive line so I don't see that back problem going away, plus now he's got another injury with his wrist.......Love Evans, but it's time to cut him....Too much money for that many injuries and not enough production

I am actually hoping that unless there is somebody that we feel we have to have at #13 pick that we possibly trade back to somewhere maybe around #20, which would hopefully net us another 2nd rd pick as well as still having two 1st rd picks.....That would give us 4 picks in about the top 52.......We could address the G, ILB, CB, WR positions with those first 4 pics and set ourselves up nicely for the season.

I'm all for trading back, but you need to have someone willing to move up
