How would Saints fans feel about Manning becoming owner/ part owner of the franchise?

Agree, I really can't see it being a bad thing having him in the front office.

I don't care for the mannings all that much but i guess we could be much worse off than having peyton as a co-owner. I'll be ok with it in the end but frick the mannings as far as i'm concerned right now.

IDK all depends on if he can apologize for being a lil bitch and running off the field like a lil spoiled brat after we beat his arse in the bowl.

He couldn't afford to be the owner.

I wouldn't be against having him in the front office, but not in an owner's role.

I agree.. Never really cared for the Mannings. I think the Brees family has been more of an ambassador to the city than they Mannings ever have.

Yes, I do. Archie stayed and raised all his children here even after his playing days. The Mannings also helped out tremendously after Katrina. They also have multiple charity groups they are a huge part of in the city, one being the MS society. So yes, how can someone say the Brees family has done more? Brees so far has simply been a football player for the saints. He may choose to stay and make NOLA home after his playing days like Archie did, but at this point to say the Mannings haven’t done as much is simply no true.

So has Brees

So is Brees. The Brees Foundation has contributed over $25 million globally.

What is funny? He has not yet had to have made the decision on where to live post retirement. That is what I meant by that comment. I have a feeling that it wont be Nola

because he's done far more than "simply been a football player for the saints."

Well since you have the feeling

I have no issues with the Mannings, but Brees's charity has likely contributed more $$ to New Orleans than all the Mannings combined. And that makes sense, given Peyton and Eli's playing history.

The Owner? probably not
An owner? absolutely he can.

I'd love to have him as a minority owner and have some input. Do I want him running the whole thing? Probably not.

Would rather him focused on the field rather than on the dollars. Who better as a QB coach?
