I suppose they could be lazy and just "run it back" with the defense and offense and what they have been doing for years but I tend to believe they will add some and subtract some.

Will wait and see the product on the field after 4-5 games.

The last five years we had a great offensive mind designing and calling played as head coach. Now we have a career assistant taking over the offense. I didn’t say we need to tear it down. But it is uninspiring and Meh. It’s a “run it back and see if it works” mentality which isn’t exciting or inspiring.

What do y’all think Carmichael has been doing the last 16 seasons he’s been with Sean Payton and the Saints Could you do your boss’s job if you shadowed him for 16 years?

I think it’s safe to assume he can gameplan and call plays. If you’ve read anything Brees or Payton have said over the last decade and a half, you’d know he already had a huge hand in both

What hiring would have been exciting and inspiring? Jay frickin Gruden? What!? Robert Prince or Scottie Montgomery?

Meh is the exact opposite of getting up in arms. I get keeping the band together. PC will get a chance to show what he can do. I’m not saying I want somebody else. I’m just saying it’s not like we hired the next Kyle Shanahan or Sean Payton or went looking for a young up and comer like Kellen Moore. Keeping a long time assistant to take over for one of the best play designer/callers in the NFL is very meh.
