Of course but it will cost more. The Saints have to find a balance between cost and talent that makes sense.

Saints should be able to do better than Munnerlyn.

#11 rated corner

I think hes going to catch a pretty penny if he hits the market

It would have helped our cause of Cammy Cam was in negotiations for his roster altering next contract.

I know you guys don't love PFF, but PFF loves Captain Munnerlyn.

As the boy Patriot fan pointed out, he was the 11th rated corner last season (+10.1).
His coverage wasn't as good as Lewis'(Lewis = +5.2; Munnerlyn = +3.4), but his run support was much better (Lewis = -1.4; Munnerlyn = +3.8).

I dunno, to me, if we get him cheap, it's a no-brainer.

HEY! I do love PFF, I'm just not married to it. They get a lot of stuff right but people just have to keep in mind it's not perfect because they are human grades after all and may not know who was responsible for what on every play.

And yeah he has been a solid starter his whole career and if he comes cheap he is a no brainer.

Yes he is and has been since his second season. And he played nickel his rookie year. Not sure where you're getting your info.

We'd be lucky to get him. We could then shift our focus to safety in the draft. A roster of Lewis, Munnerlyn, Robinson, White, Wade and Sweeting would be legit.

the Panthers have tagged DE Greg Hardy.

here are some tidbits from PFT. Figured this related to Captain Munnerlyn who may end up hitting the market.

he's said that he wants to stay with the Panthers...

That creates a bit of a bind for the Panthers moving forward, as they still have 18 unrestricted free agents set to hit the market on March 11.
