These moves should put the Payton is moving stories to bed. If he was thinking about leaving or tired of being here I doubt he would be dumping players and making moves like this.

Could be in reference to Peter King. He recently said that he thought Payton's time with the Saints was running to an end.

I haven't heard any rumors about Payton being on the hot seat. People have called for his job on this forum, but people were also calling for Brees' job, so...

"I am starting to think, I just started thinking this in the last week or so - Is it possible that Sean Payton has reached his expiration date in New Orleans? This is his ninth year, a lot of times a coach gets to be in his ninth, tenth, eleventh year in a place and he starts to feel a little wanderlust, he starts to feel 'are they still listening to my voice, are they still getting my message.' And his mentor in football, Bill Parcells, always would leave a little bit earlier than later. I wonder if Sean Payton is going to get that wanderlust and try to go somewhere at the end of this unsuccessful Saints' season," King said.
This is where the "stories" are coming from? Jesus.

I would think he would at least wait until Brees is done

(and no, Brees is not done yet)

There was a report today that he was tired of NOLA and interested in Chicago. There has been a lot of talk on local and national radio about whether or not Payton had run his course in Nola.

Can you link that report? I literally can't find anything about Payton being on the hot seat other than Peter King thinking out loud.

Did Peter King say this after his thrilling report on his daugter's field hockey team, and before refusing to mention the R*dsk*ns?

It was on Twitter looking for link. There has just been a lot of chatter about Payton's future mainly on radio.

I'm waiting for the Cowboys' wheels to start falling off and those rumors start flying.

It was hardly a report, it was just a game of telephone based on peter King's feelings.

He's also said that Payton was leaving for the Cowboys and the Eagles in 2012. Just throwing shite out there

He can't coach anywhere else in the NFL unless we let him

It was an off the cuff remark by King in his MMQB extra video service or something or another kind of shite thing. He just pulled it out of his arse.
