because everywhere williams has been, his CBs and LBs have run mostly man

One definitely enticing aspect of Williams' coaching is his ability to work with what is already given him and create a great defense from it. He did it in Tennessee...

One of Williams's great strengths has been his ability to take the base "46" defense of his first NFL mentor, Buddy Ryan, and adapt it to whatever situation arises. For instance, when he was the Tennessee Titans' defensive coordinator in 1999, the season they went to the Super Bowl, his teams used lots of man-to-man coverage on pass plays. The next year, with a defense less suited to such coverages, he used almost no man-to-man. The Titans wound up with the top-ranked pass defense in the NFL that season.

So apparently Webtser's 4.52 isnt comparable with a 4.55-4.6... By the way asante samuel, cason, flowers, and smoot, did not run in the 4.4. range, they put up 4.5's...
cason might have rune a 4.48 on his proday, so did Jenkins, but you blame that on a fast track at ohio state, you have no idea what kind of traacks theses guys ran on for their pro days either...GO compare what they ran at the combine, its a better comparison, b/c it was run on the same track...
Besides, If they are 4.5 guys that are good, you say its the scheme, blah,blah... You think Brandon Flowers did not have to run man with a receiver all last season, so his team ran zon on every down? Get outa here you arse...

But I'm sure you'll pull some more B.S. from out your arse....

4.5 guys can make it in the leaugue at corner, regardless of the scheme.... Thats the truth....

P.s. dont hate on T Daniels he was a very solid starter for the dolphins in years they went to the playoffs or came close...

Bush,Evans,Nicks, Porter and Harper (and I use the term starter lightly) are the only starters.

If we're talking strictly about player evaluation and acquisition via the draft, I think you also have to add Colston (who you mentioned later), Lance Moore (UDFA claimed off waivers), Pierre Thomas (UDFA), Jeff Faine (acquired via trade down), and Hollis Thomas (acquired via trade down) to that list. Yes Payton believed his own hype and had a bad second draft, yes they grossly over paid for Grant and Smith, but overall this FO has been pretty solid.

If my memory serves correctly didnt jenkins return an interception for a TD against LSU in NC so how does he not play well against good competition?

Whats the deal with the 40 time he ran a 4.55 which is good enough to play corner. If you started a stopwatch and stopped it as soon as you could it would not be within a tenth of a second so is a 4.5 flat really that big of a deal to a 4.55

Sigh, no he didn't - he stepped out. But more importantly, the only reason he got the INT is Flynn threw an out and Toliver ran an in, leaving Jenkins standing cold to jump a route he didn't run and get a "hey look what I found!" interception. That INT was actually another example of Jenkins sucking in coverage.
