LOL, you go find you wierdo, thats what you do. Are you changing the issue now?

So at first question was whether or not Jenkins had the speed to play corner in the NFL, and now the issue is whether there are any good corners in the league, that play man coverage, run a 4.6, and are currently playing in the league (this excludes all past great corners). And you want me to look that up?

What a loser! haha, get over it hopefully our man Jenkins will be a beast, and help you see the light.

he has the best CB in the game who was drafted based on workouts alone, actually

no

me saying, "4.6 is slow for a man CB in the NFL" is the argument

well jenkins is going to be playing man CB in teh NFL right now, so it's a valid comparison

the only "old" CB you've discussed is a CB who ran int he 4.4s coming out (ty law) who got slower as he got older

He also has Jeff Garcia set to overtake JR after only 1 full season of starting QB

and how many games have raiders won?

by the way, did jimmy johnson, or does coach belicheck (sp?) draft according to 40 times, absolutely not. they draft playmakers. some are fast, some just make plays at critical times.

bill B always drafts athletes with certain triangle #s that he can mold into players

they're just really good at molding

they really do this a lot on the OL and DL, but they do it at CB also (hobbs, samuel)

No its not a valid comparison, we dont even know where we will use Jenkins yet, or what kind of defense we will run. Greg Williams has said countless times, that his defenses change from game to game..... Fail...

Besides first your saying he's too slow to play corner in the NFL, then that he's too slow to play man corner in the NFL, Ty Law could do it at 30 with the Patsies because of experience and Patsie's scheme, but he sucked and was lucky to get eight picks with the Bills at the end of his career, blah, blah, blah...

All you do is back track, and change your story repeatedly, and talk out your arse...

So you think Jenkins is a bust, we'll see... If he turns out to be a beast, I'm sure you will be changing your story then too...

me showing the differences in a 10 year NFL vet and a rookie is not backtracking

come up with a valid comparison, and try to find more than 1

4.55-4.58

it's easier to type 4.6

Corey Webster (best 40 was like a 4.52), Harrison at 30 and beyond, Mckenzie with the saints the past three seasons when healthy, asante samuel, brandon flowers and antoine cason both solid rookies last season that only ran 4.5's, ken lucas has been a solid corner w/out great speed, travis daniels still in the league and started for the dolphins for 3 years when the team was competetive, chevis jackson (4.6 40) is another rookie from last year who played well at nickel and dime corner for Atlanta last season, Fred Smoot ran a 4.5 and dropped to the 2nd round...

To name a few...

good names P

I liked this summation from T-P Duncan-

Over the past 15 months, the Saints have embarked on one of the most aggressive overhauls in the league. Twenty-two of the 36 defensive players on the current roster have been signed, drafted or traded for during that span.
The extreme makeover includes five cornerbacks, five linebackers, five defensive ends, four defensive tackles, three safeties, and, of course, one very celebrated defensive coordinator.
"Our time is now with Brees, " Payton said.
Not surprisingly, the biggest change has occurred in the secondary, where the Saints have added five players since March. Four of the five are expected to challenge for starting spots, including rookie cornerback Malcolm Jenkins and rookie safety Chip Vaughn who were added to the mix over the weekend.
The top five cornerbacks on the roster -- Jenkins, Tracy Porter, Randall Gay, Jabari Greer and Leigh Torrence -- have all been added in the past year.
With Gay and Greer on the left side and Porter and Jenkins on the right, the Saints will boast the most talented set of cornerbacks in club history and arguably one of the deepest groups in the league.
The Saints are so deep at the position they've elected to move one of their promising young corners, Usama Young, to free safety.
They're so deep at corner, a couple of clubs tried to trade for Gay over the weekend after the Saints drafted Jenkins on Saturday. When's the last time the Saints had a cornerback that someone else wanted to trade for? And Gay might only be the third or fourth best corner on the roster this season.
---------------
it's just on paper now but I'd have to backtrack rosters to find when the DB's were this good and deep.

If GW's hyper aggressive scheme can move the pressure/sack total from 28 past the league avearge to, say 38-40, they will be top 10+. That coupled with the new DB's & scheme brings the highest performance expectation I can remember since the dome patrol days.

i'm kind of hoping he becomes a starting safety for us...Greer and Porter are more built to be man to man corners so instead of being a pretty good corner, Jenkins will become an incredible, ballhawking, Pro-Bowl safety for many seasons to come...Jenkins was an excellent choice and with the other additions, the secondary will now become the strength of the defense....safety was our most glaring weakness the past few years and we just addressed that position in a huge way....CHAMPIONSHIP

Why does everyone assume that Saints will only play man coverage again this season? From what I have heard, Gregg Williams runs his defense in a way that best suits the talent he has at his disposal. Aqib Talib was selected close to where Malcolm Jenkins was selected this year and he was a damn fine cover two corner for Tampa last year. So does Williams run zone coverage at all?

i think this is the best case scenario

he has the potential to be adequate at CB, but he'll never be a pro bowler in a man system

because everywhere williams has been, his CBs and LBs have run mostly man

his Ss often play cover 2

i'm not a talib fan, but he was bigger, faster, and equally as athletic (other than speed), and he had a better college career
