Doubt he'll do it, but apparently it is possible if he decides to.

It's possible for me to have no penis if I decide to chop it off.

Haha, my point was, the reports were saying that he couldn't even ATTEND a college game. The possibility of him actually coaching a college program seemed out of the quesiton. I mean really if a team like arkansas would hire you for 1 year, it puts money in your pocket, keeps you away from violating rules by talking to your team, and you can fulfill the football itch that coaches of Payton's caliber have.

Can Florio get any dumber? Or would Arkansas be dumb enough to even consider that?

Yeah, as a program, I would NOT hire a definite one year coach. But I think the article was more geared toward the fact Payton could TECHNICALLY do it IF he wanted to.

Payton could do a lot of things. I can't see this being one of them.

It's a bad situation for them, I'm sure, but you don't install a bandaid fix for that because of the fact that BP isn't coming back. You get your guy in now and accept that it's going to be a slower start for him.

Florio is a fricking retard. i'm fairly certain that one of the stipulations of the suspension is that Payton is barred from ENTERING a college football stadium. that'd make it hard to coach a college footbal team.

He's probably upset that his team is moving to LA.

I don't know of a SEC-level school atheletics director that would even consider bringing a coach in for only one year, without the possibility of continuing with the same guy. No matter how good the coach is, you always want some sense of continuity for your players at the collegiate level.

Typically in college you recruit on the 3-4 year model and you have to recruit in advance for the team you are trying to build. The whole premise of this post is bad, I don't know why I'm even posting anymore. /done
