i dont mind the shitty beginning of the schedule, but the last leg of it when it matters really sucks.

Why does this keep happening?

The NFL has really got to get rid of TNF.

Yeah, they really need to enact a rule where Thirsday night games can only come after a bye week or something.

It's not so much the shitty schedule as it is the OP that hasn't been updated that's pissing me off.

The most unfortunate things:

-we only play back to back home games at one point in the season, and it's 3 in a row. Stupid. Hard to chain winning streaks when you're a home team

-5 prime time games and only 2 at home. Unfortunate because we dominate in prime time at home

-both @Pitt and @Chicago are late in the season.. I was hoping only 1 of the 3 with those and Cleveland would be late (and I was kind of hoping it was Cleveland). We're gonna have to prove the Philly win wasn't a fluke

It's really unfortunate because we have a great slate.. This is close to as bad as it could have gotten with the teams we have to play.

the thursday night isnt THAT bad. we play GB at home on primetime which gives us great odds.

thursday night game

then extra time to rest for SF.

the thursday night game is against Carolina who should be garbage this year

The only real positive is that we get three of our hardest games in a row all at home with San Fran, Cincy, and Baltimore

I just want to know one thing: how many teams have ever had to play a road Thursday game (against a division rival and playoff team, no less) right after playing a late Sunday game against another playoff team?

For THREE years in a row.

If this has happened to another team for even two years in a row, I'll shut up.

Not to mention, they play Seattle the week before at home. If anything, they'll go against a physical opponent before meeting us for the first time.

yeah, agree about the extra time off before the 49ers game.

and at least we're playing a team that we're more familiar with instead of say going to Chicago or Detroit on a Thursday night.

I just don't really care for Thursday Night Football that much. No trolling here whatsoever.

How do we keep getting SF at home

same reason we kept getting chicago on the road. Just the way the match-ups fall, certain things on the way the playoffs work

How do we keep getting Chicago on the road?

It's just a strange scheduling quirk. Nothing more. Everything is predetermined by records and division rotation.

SF must be annoyed about that.

I see what you were saying about the afternoon games being able to be flexed now.

we have no games currently scheduled for a late afternoon kick but I'll bet that will change later on down the road.
