Official Coby Fleener Hype Thread

A lot of posters have been holding back on this guy and as a result I have too. This guy is absolute trash. Probably the most overpaid player in Saints history other than Morestead. Here are the reasons Coby sucks so bad:
1. He was supposed to be fast. He's about the slowest 4.5 I've ever seen. I think this is a result of him being tentative and in general not knowing where the frick he's supposed to be. In fact, his best play of the season resulted from him running the wrong route. May also have something to do with him bracing for a hit for the entirety of the route. This guy has ZERO game speed.
2. He plays small. Ever seen this guy elevate? Me neither. God forbid he leave the ground and risk his career in pretending to play football. The instagram posts he gets out of this are far too important. What's he going to post if he can't dress up in a football costume every sunday?
3. He has bricks for hands. I don't know what his drop count was last year. I'm sure it wasn't that bad. But he wasn't dropping meaningless checkdown passes. He dropped some crucial passes last year that could have ended up being touchdowns that kept us in games. The drop against the Giants was embarrassing. Other times he'd drop it if someone breathed on him.
4. Dude is a fricking pussy. How many times did he catch wide open passes last year and basically lay down or freeze bracing for a hit with nobody within 10 yards of him. It looks embarrassing on TV.
5. He has absolutely zero heart. I've never seen him look all that upset with himself for being so bad out there. He broke like 1 tackle all year and never fights for yards and sometimes practically tackles himself. He genuinely looks like he has no interest in winning and is just trying to not get hurt out there. He's not a football player.
Look at this play. This is my least favorite fleener play of the year. He catches a pass and shows the least urgency to get in the endzone I've ever seen from a player. Then he has the nerve to throw his hands up for a TD as if he came within 5 feet of the goal line. I'm telling you right now, Zach Strief may have scored on that play.

Terrible
His reaction after being tackled was so pathetic and just shows you how clueless and how out of the game his head is. Him not getting that yard ended up costing us 4 points and almost cost us the game. Those are the little things that he will continue to do most likely and they may cost the Saints more games in 2017. Everyone is right when they say bad teams find ways to lose games. Players like Fleener NEVER do the little things right and it costs the Saints in a big way.
Coby Fleener isn't a real football player. But maybe Brees can make him look like one again in 2017
Stats:
650 yards, 4 TD's

We loaded up the backfield for a reason.
When teams focus on Thomas and Snead.. Fleener WON'T be the answer.
I mean I actually agree with you. This dude just pisses me off.
As much I want to.. no...he isn't. That fat piece of shite Grady Jackson and Byrd laughed harder on the way to the bank.

As far as I got.
Just sit there in your wrongness and be wrong for a while.

Good thing he doesn't run a 4.5 recorded at the combine. 4.51 at a pro day is slower than that, use that noggin. he isn't elite speed either, true.

Drop: 3
Catches: 50
Targets: 81
not bad actually.

did you say the same about cooks? I rather have a guy for 16 games and contribute than get destroyed on one play trying to get a few more yards and be out.

there was a few games where he was definitely 'emotional'

really, to seahawks coming at him and he's going for it.. he extends and its a fumble. There's A LOT of plays we can complain about, that is not one of them.

Lance Moore says hello. Made this his hallmark. It used to piss me off, but I get it for a lil guy. Not a TE in the secondary. He should get another 5 yards after contact.

How is that working out for guys like Graham, Gronk, and Reed who have to take those hits often.
also, he gets 4.3 YAC
Graham: 4.9
Gronk: 9.4
Reed: 3.7
Olsen: 4.7
Witten: 3.7
Kelce: 7.7
right about average

lol.
aren't you the guy who keeps saying Kamara still has to beat out Lasco???
You are retarded dude. I've never seen you show you have a clue of what's going on with the Saints, hence you not understanding my comment on the injuries. oh shite, just realized you also made a thread about Tommylee replacing Brandin Cooks....now that's another great one. The sad part is you aren't trolling you are just really that dumb.
And GOATMILKER it's called a hyperbole dumbass. I know he's not literally the highest paid player in said history.

1. Coby Fleener ran a 4.52 at the NFL combine. "use that noggin." Not only are you wrong, you are fuking dickhead.......Do you people really log in to simply try to argue with other people's posts on absolutely retarded nitpicky issues? It's kind of sick and a little bit embarrassing on your part. It's not just you, everyone does it to everyone. If you are going to do it though you better be right, ok?
2. I literally said his drop number would not be bad. There are also plenty of balls with him that he could catch but couldn't that wouldn't be considered "drops" on the stat sheet.
3. Really did you just compare our 6'6 250 pound tight end to 185 pound Brandin Cooks? How could that have ever become an idea in your simple little mind?
4. And sorry dude, but pretty much every NFL TE worth his weight in salt is scoring on that Seahawks play. He could have literally shifted left and went in pretty much untouched. I know you probably never played football, but THAT was a pussy play in every sense. Anyone who has played knows that.

So you've never seen anyone run a 4.21-4.9?
Posted on 6/19/17 at 2:26 pm to breauxmosexual
At the NFL combine, he benched 27 reps of 225 at 6-6 244, though he did not run because of an ankle injury.
Not sure where the 4.52 keeps coming up, but even nfl.com doesn't have any combine numbers outside of the bench.
But yes. He's underwhelming, but like usual you nitpick at small things and make them out to be huge. It's a con he can't make spectacular catches? There's a reason they're spectacular.
You're whining about the Seahawks play, but ignore the fact ball security is the most important thing against that defense. He fumbles trying to extend for a td, comes up short, and you'd then cry about his fumbling issues.
Here's a better comparison, did you whine when Graham gator armed all those passes? Did you complain when Graham had ridiculous #s of drops?
Fleener is an average te. He's being paid average money. He's not asked to be the #1 guy for that reason. Expectations that he would be Graham would be on fans, not anyone else.

You were the guy who wanted to trade Brees for a guard and start Grayson, so I wouldn't throw stones

Lol. I forgot about that pussy play during the seahawks game. Made me chuckle. Now I remember dropping my jaw in the dome when i saw that in total confusion. His career wrapped into one play. A big giant twatty twat
Posted on 6/19/17 at 3:21 pm to breauxmosexual
I'm not the one calling a NFL player a pussy. Oh right my bad I forgot. The hyperbole of a 9 year old again.
Carry on jr.

His stats were similar in Indy. Biggest difference was he did not fumble much and had two with us last year.

Brees comp% to fleener 63%
Passer rating 83.9
3 int
He was terrible last year. That said my bold prediction is he is 2nd on our team in receiving this year

Coby Fleener's Receiver Rating of 83.9 ranked last of all TEs with at least 75 targets. That seems really hard to do with Brees as your QB.
