Brian Daboll is interesting. Helped develop Allen and their offense has been solid

Zimmer would be great value bet.

i like daboll, weird feeling Lombardi has an outside shot. McCarthy would be a decent value bet but not sure Jones can pull this off just yet...

I'm actually really intruiged by the idea of Daboll. I know this sounds crazy, but if we decided to roll with Taysom, I feel like he would be an excellent fit. Taysom isn't Allen, but he possesses some of the same skills and could probably do well in his offense until we were in a position to get someone better.

Thought the same thing. Just as a betting enthusiast the best value on the board is Zimmer. I don’t think he’s a great coach, and I don’t particularly want him. But he was great friends with Payton so probably has a good relationship with Loomis and others. So +5000 is great value.

Not to mention he was 10x the DC that Dennis Allen ever was, so if were going defensive with the hire then the gap between those two’s odds are too far apart.

But they’re both bad candidates so moving on.

Bienemy is interesting because he’s always mentioned but who knows if he just runs Andy Reid’s offense. If defense is the direction I’d be interested in Flores. I’ve been impressed with his coaching in Miami.

Plus don’t we get like an extra 3rd round pick if we hire a black coach?

I think the trend is young offensive guys so that wouldn’t surprise me either

Come on, other than being a bigger QB who can run, what does he have anywhere close to Allen? They are lightyears apart.

Allen has come out saying he doesn’t want him to leave. Sounds good to me, take him!

Edit: Why the downvotes? We should take him if his qb doesn’t want him to leave…

It's Dennis Allen. Forget about it.

He is a big QB who can run. That counts for something. Allen has run for almost 1,000 yards this season including the playoffs. He also came into the league with almost zero sense of how to read a play and go through progressions and has made massive strides in those areas

I'm not saying Taysom is anywhere near the same caliber of player or can be a long term answer, I'm saying that we have him on the team for a decent contract and Daboll is the type of coach who could actually use him. If we keep Allen and Carmichael I have zero faith they could get anything out of Taysom.

The fact that Coach O has better odds than Mike Zimmer is something....
