I respect Payton for "throwing Hightower a couple of bones" against his old team. HIghtower has work his tail off for years to get back in the league, and he is still a decent back. After Hightower's first score several people shook Payton's hand in acknowledgement of what he had done for Hightower. I would find the crappiest place in the league (Cleveland) and trade Ingram now if possible. I understand he has incentives in his contract, but I also understand why Payton did what he did. The fact is that Ingram only seems to perform his best when it is contract time or money is on the line. Ingram should have been happy for Hightower. Ingram is an average or slightly above average NFL back.

Ingram has stolen enough money from the saints with his crap play over the years, he shouldn't be worried about incentives.

He doesn’t have any incentives in his contract.

He wanted to put them away.

Quit being an idiot.

Ingram managed a measly 4.6ypc and 7 yards per reception. Simply not good enough.

I'll go ahead and file this one in the "dumb redneck LSU fan" folder.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I am beginning to resent these saints. We look awesome when something personal is on the line. F you Ingram.....

Ingram threw a tantrum on the sidelines because Payton pulled him when we were about to score. Looked like a little bitch. Not worried about the TEAM winning, just his own stats.

I knew I would upset some Bama fans. I am amused that one of you boys referred to me as a redneck; I thought you guys took great pride in being rednecks. Perhaps it was a compliment.

Ingram is the king of getting stuffed in short yardage situations

Ingram is an average back that is inconsistent and behaves like an idiot on the field. He makes a 10 yard gain and acts like just won his team a title. The guy is simply not talented enough to be such an immature arse.

I can't stand ODB's antics, but he is possibly the best at his position in the entire league. Ingram can't say that and yet still acts like a primadonna.

It isn't about him being a Bama alum. He's simply an overrated player that needs to grow up and could easily be replaced.

its a pattern that's been going on for a few years now.

some skill player on offense acts pissy.

that's a reflection on the coach.

yeah.. you can get of said player but that's multiple players now who have drawn a negative vibe.

a lack of respect for the head coach.

no wonder 7-9 turds are the norm these days.

kind of pathetic that its Ingram's outburst that make people care in the first place. Cooks was whining a few weeks ago about not getting the ball enough. Now Cooks has a good game and Ingram acts like a pussy. Ingram got a lot of attention the Rams game.

A game where Payton wanted to prove a point to GW.

just more LSU-Alabama bullshite spilling over on here.

to hell with both of them for real.

This has nothing to do with his contract or money. It's all about him picking up the 3rd down and not being able to finish the drive. I remember he did the same thing on MNF when Robinson got the TD a few years back. Payton has been screwing him over for years and he's finally feed up with it. Classless on Payton's part to make that move there.

I don't think he's worry about that 1 yard in his incentive at that point of the game. It's the fact he wasn't able to finish the drive which is why he's pissed.

Ingram doesn't have incentives for scoring TDs.

This had nothing to do with money.

ETA: I can see Payton's side of it, to. I have more confidence in Hightower picking up three yards than Ingram. I'm not saying Hightower is better, but he should be the GLB#1 on the depth chart. He deserves it.
