New Orleans was 2nd in TV ratings, only behind the host city.
You best believe that the NFL Draft will take place in NOLA in the near future!

Not if Roger Goodell has anything to say about it.

Oh man I can only imagine the boos he would get when he walks up to announce the pick

Not if it continues to be held the same weekend as Jazz Fest & Zurich Classic.

This just in from the NFL league offices:
It has now been calculated that Los Angeles had the highest ratings of any tv market for the draft --- when you remove all the other markets and only count L.A.
Huge win for the Los Angeles market and the NFL!!!

I think people booing him is the least of their worries. There would be straight up riots if he showed his face in Nola

They had an article in the paper this week saying they wouldn't bid on it bc of the other two events.

With Jazzfest, Zurich, and April weather being partly cloudy with a chance of Armageddon I doubt we ever see it, since they seem to hold it outside now.

Saints fans proclaim to be pissed off about the NFCCG and will never get over it. They don't even have a first-round-pick. And yet every single one of them turned on this shitshow anyway.
Way to send a "message," Saints fans.

Pathetic. Guess the super bowl boycott was enough, huh?

We are still pissed. Just curious at what our team and other teams are doing. We can still hate Goodell

Maybe Saints fans tuned in to see him squirm and get booed.

I’ve always wondered where they would hold it if it came here. As great of a convenient walking distance city this is for big events like the Mardi Gras, Super Bowl etc, it’s doesnt seem perfect for accommodating the Draft the way other cities already have:
Main event inside Smoothie King and an outside addition at Champions Square?
Close down Poydras and have it outside with the Superdome in the background?
Close down a large stretch of Canal Street and set up the main stage by the Riverfront?
Moonwalk for the main stage and use Jackson Square for the audience?
Use one street like Bourbon St they way Nashville used Broadway?
?????
