They are, but that's why they're predictions before the draft.

The NFC South plays both North divisions this year. Because of that, I think our fourth place team finishes 7-9 at worst. Because all four teams will be solid this year, so I think our winner will be 11-5, maybe 12-4. Second and third could both finish above .500.

So I say:

Saints
Falcons
Panthers
Bucs

We lost smith and vilma, who didn't play last year... Jenkins and Harper, who we replaced with one of the best in the game... Sproles, while retaining Thomas, Ingram, Robinson, and cadet... And Moore, who I think we may try to bring back

None of these moves hurt the team, IMO

You forgot DLP, Strief and Haralson who are all pretty important pieces IMO

I believe Strief will be back, which makes the holes on offense C (easily attainable through drafting) and WR (deep draft with this position)

On defense corner depth is important and lb. However, as is, the defense is stacked as frick.

Saying that picking them to win 12 to 13 games is delusional is actually stupid as frick. They have very few holes compared to other seasons and added the second best safety in the league to an already top 5 defense. The optimism should be understood if you have a clue about this team. It's too early to really pick this stuff, but this team is looking very well put together. If you can't see that you're not paying attention.

I'm not seeing many holes either.

It really depends on who you think we have.
At WR, we have Colston and Stills, who are both very good.
Stills will be a beast this season.
And then we have Toon and Tanner.
I've always liked Tanner, I think he's the next Moore.
And Toon may finally have had the light turn on.

"Holes" assumes the worst case.

I'm just afraid that with our insane DL and our now pumped up secondary, teams are going to try to throw the ball underneath a lot. We have pretty much nothing when it comes to pass coverage at LB.. which is why we played so many 3 safety sets last season. We only have 3 safeties now, so unless they find a few others, we need pass covering LBs. Makes no sense to me why we let Haralson walk.

Well, it's not like he's been picked up yet.

I imagine he'll come back.

But really, we need coverage on the inside.

I could actually see all three coming back... DLP would be the most likely to sign elsewhere, but until he does, I remain optimistic

So, losing all of that depth and adding a top safety and a bunch of unknown rookies makes us jump to 12 or 13 wins? Call me a realist but I'd be thrilled with 11 wins. But hey, I have no clue about this team.

@PFF_Pete: The 6 WRs on the Panthers roster have a combined 187 career snaps. That's fewer than 132 NFL WRs had last season.

In this league, it's not always about how good you are, but how bad are the teams you're playing. Could very well go 6-0 in the division this year.

It's really amazing how much younger this team has become and there all very good young talent.it seems like yesterday we were old and slow.also our schedule is wayyy easier then last year.I'm really impressed how the front office has changed the age of there core players.im still blown away at our safety position.but as we all know it's very hard to win back to back south championship so panthers ehh bucs couple years away dirty turds is the team I think gives us some competition...

As I mentioned the offense should be almost the same once Strief resigns, but with added youth in two spots. Can you tell me the key losses? Moore? Sproles? What about on defense Smith? Greer? Vilma? Harper? Jenkins? The only one you can make a strong case for is Sproles and a healthy Greer. Outside of that, it's aging, underperforming players.

There are no holes on defense, only needed depth. Combine that with a favorable schedule and you're looking at a chance for a very successful season. 11 wins at the most is thinking way too low. I'm being realistically optimistic here, but it's not like I don't have a reason to be..

I like it

I'll say
13-3 Saints
9-7 falcons
6-10 bucks
3-13 panthers

I think the NFC south struggles this year.

Saints 11-5
Bucs 9-7
Falcons 7-9
Panthers 4-12

Hell. Let's do all the NFC. I'm bored.

North:
Green Bay 12-4
Detroit 9-7
Chicago 6-10
Vikings 3-13

East:
Eagles 11-5
Giants 8-8
Cowboys 7-9
Redskins 4-12

West:
Cardinals 10-5-1
Seahawks 10-5-1
49ers 8-8
Rams 7-9

panthers 11-5 (cam f@cking newton)

atlanta 11-5 (matty ice nuff said)

tampa bay 10-6(spent the money we thought they would)

New orleans 3-13(got rid of all their good players)

Also from 95% of expert sources. And never wrong.
