Well now we desperately need a NT. Jesse Williams, Hankins, and especially Jenkins out of UGA would all be really good fits. This also makes Dion Jordan a MUCH better looking prospect. He has all the makings of a 3-4 WOLB that can get after the QB and hold his own when asked to cover. With the way Cam Jordan got after the QB this year, I think he may be moved to the weakside. We may have a hole on the strongside, hopefully Hicks can do that. I'm intrigued by Gallette and Tez on the outside, but I don't trust them. As desperate as we've been for a pass rush, NT is EXTREMELY important in a 3-4. If we don't have a guy that can take up two blockers and hold his position, our rush defense won't be any better than last season.

I also think this means the end of Bunkley and maybe Hawthorne.

Happy with anybody except any lineman from Georgia.

OLB is now just as important a position as NT IMO.. We're pretty weak at LB outside of Lofton.

wut? While Bunkley may or may not be on the team this coming season, moving to a 3-4 actually helps him. Bunkley was an elite NT for the Broncos last year in the 3-4

Broncos played the 4-3 in Bunkley's last season:

And he played in the 4-3 with the Eagles before that.

in a 3-4, you build from the inside out.

He was the nosetackle in the 4-3, but I feel like he'd likely be an end in a 3-4.

Never mind with Bunkley. His base salary is guaranteed in 2013.

I'm still high on sheldon richardson if he falls to our lap. I just see him being a really high impact player as a RDE. yeah I know we have depth issues at LB, but I honestly think with bunkley at NT we should be fine. he was a NT in a 4-3, but they wanted to keep him as a 3-4 NT while switching to it this past year

I would be very disappointed if we drafted a 5-tech. Jordan is a clear cut starter and Hicks is raw but he's got the tools to excel there. Not so much as a 0 tech right now. I don't doubt that Bunkley can play NT, but the 3 guys I listed in the OP look perfectly built for it and very good 3-4 NTs are harder to come buy than very good OLBs (though, to be fair, there are twice as many of the latter).

Bunkley can definitely play the NT.

I don't think there's any question that a 3-4 OLB to rush the passer is the need now.

I think we can get Mingo. Or trade up and get Jarvis Jones.

I will definitely pass on Mingo. Would love to get Jones though.

I'm really high on Bacari Rambo, I think we need a big time playmaking safety so Jenkins to move to CB/NB.

Rambo is going to be a habitual "roughing the receiver" offender in the league.

I would now love to see the Saints draft Mingo. I would love Wilson and Mingo on the edge with Vilma and Lofton inside
