He went to the right college. All that matters.

Half arm chair GMs blessed with hindsight. Half LSU homers crying we didn't draft LSU players. Fun thread.

It's time to look to the future. We just drafted some great players. Let's focus on them.

Yeah and Landon Collins is a pro-bowler. Stephone Anthony is still trying to contribute on special teams

Better athlete, stronger hands, more explosive football player.

I'm not saying Snead is a bad player but a number of recievers have passed through that put up big numbers here and flopped elsewhere.

Jarvis is producing with a substantially lesser QB.

No argument there, is rather have Collins but it's too early to rule out Anthony...especially with the coaching he received under Vitt.

Are we going to pretend that Reid is good?

Matheiu and Landry, I get it. But, Reid? No.

rearview 20/20 vision draft threads always suck

Could have made it better by saying to list only LSU players they passed on.

agreed but I have a whole year to wait to debate draft picks with you again, and training camp doesn't start for two months. Gotta talk about something. Now contribute and quit hating. You are one of the few who might discuss someone other than LSU players. I was counting on you man.

This is a side board of an LSU base fan site, there is a lot of cross over, most Saints fans are familiar with LSU players, what do you expect?

It doesn't help that the Saints pass on damn good LSU players (from time to time) only to draft busts...

In 2013, I wanted CB Desmond Trufant. Cool w/ Vaccaro, but I was a big fan of Trufant.

In 2014, I wanted CB Jason Verrett BADLY. Seeing Cooks traded makes me cringe even harder now.

In 2015, I was SCREAMING for CB Marcus Peters, granted Peat has turned it around and protecting Drew is a must, but I wanted this guy so bad it hurt. With our next 1st rounder, I wanted DT Malcom Brown from Texas.

In 2016, Rankins was the easy pick. Really high on him and love what he brings to the team. Excited to see what he can do once he's 100% healthy.

Wouldn't change a thing about the 2017 draft, finally got our CB and arguably the best T in the draft.

Crazy to think of a secondary featuring Trufant, Verrett, Peters and Lattimore though. I'm a big believer in you can never have enough DBs

This! Could have taken him over Marcus Murphy in 7th round in 2015.
