The Saints weren't going to draft them anyway. So it's actually not a "Saints thing" at all

Not really sure that vadal is a good fit for new orleans anyway, with how much they ask the guards to play out in space

Sorry I want the Saints to pick someone that has a very good chance to start for this team from day one.
Have you noticed the guard play for this team the past two years? It's been awful.
Alexander would perform at more than serviceable level as a rookie compared to what we have now. At a cheaper cost too.
We have awful run blocking in the middle...guess what...he likely grades out as one of the best run blocking guards in this draft.
Sorry I want the Saints to pick a guy that has started since he was a freshman and performed at an all SEC level. Especially in the 6th or 7th round

Maybe, but maybe not. all i know is that he's also not very good in pass protection. he was a good college player and LSU throwing it like 9 times a game played to his strengths
he's very slow, like REALLY slow. I don't know that he's capable of sliding out to block a screen pass which is pretty much a requirement if you play guard for the saints under sean payton

LSU fans thought Herman Johnson (actually faster than Vadal) was a 1st rd pick and future All Pro
This isnt the SEC and there is a reason every team passed on Alexnder for 200+ picks
