I believe that is correct. That also was originally the Saints spot but they traded up to get Sedrick Ellis

Thomas is going to be a very good NFL player, but I don't think he is a good fit our D, looks more like a 3T to me.

Shoulder surgery, no combine. Seems like a risk that high.
Being that its a rotator cuff tear, I don't see him being ready for rookie camp which would put him behind the eight ball in terms of his on field preparation. That’s not the situation any team wants for a player who plays a position that requires vast knowledge of play calls & reads. Foster's stock will begin to drop in the upcoming mocks. All anyone has to do is go back to Myles Jack just a year ago for an example of this.

Yea, he's about to start slipping. Looking like DE or CB for us.

For some reason I just have trust issues with Stanford players
why? because hardly anybody like the Andrus Peat pick on draft day??
they have also produced players like:
Andrew Luck
Richard Sherman
David DeCastro
Zach Ertz
Fleener (lol)
Ty Montgomery
I mean Thomas wouldn't be my first choice either right now I guess but its unfair to judge him based on where he went to college.

Edge rusher, so it's a premium position, and he has good size.
Yeah, but so were Mingo and Dion Jordan. Maybe he works out, but I'm just leery at the moment.

Both Jordan & Mingo were on the light side too. Both were also inconsistent in college in terms being able to create pressures. Taco isn't undersized but the inconsistency in being able to apply pressure was there at Michigan.
It's really hard at times to evaluate certain DEs/OLBs. Vic Beasley & Leonard Floyd had the undersize tag placed on them heading into their respective drafts. After playing his rookie season with a torn labrum, Beasley bounced back to lead the NFL in sacks. Floyd ended his rookie season with a respectable 7 sacks in only 12 games but he ended up on IR after a scary neck/head injury.
The guy in this draft who fits both stigmas of Jordan & Mingo, is Tim Williams. Personally, I would steer clear of Williams at all costs.

Mel Kiper don't have a CLUE!!!!

But Williams stock has dropped quite a bit. Some mocks have him going in the 3rd. So it's not much of a risk if a team does draft him in the later rounds.

Foster will slip when teams bring him in for an interview.

From what I saw he gets off his blocks well and has stupid pursuit for his size. A lot of plays he was coming from inside though and I didn't see him take on many, if any, double teams on the short tape.
ETA: Heard him referred to as an undersized interior lineman a la Aaron Donald. He certainly doesn't pop like Donald did on tape, but maybe this has to do with not resigning Fairley instead of addressing the EDGE need.

If you wouldn't take Williams in the 2nd you need to check your bias. Your comparison is silly btw. Mingo and Jordan had 15 and 14.5 career sacks respectively. Williams had 20 on fewer reps, he only saw regular playing time in his junior and senior seasons. The former are both better athletes than a Williams, that's all they ever really were though, good athletes. Williams may be a one trick pony right now, but it's a really good trick. He pressures the quarterback, period. He's one of the most productive pass rushers PFF has ever graded. You cite mingo and Jordan being inconsistent pass rushers and then compare Williams to them, who's one of the more consistent pass rushers to enter the draft in the last few years. Long story short, don't let your hatred of Alabama cloud your judgment

I assume he's referring to williams legal issues

He wasn't. His premise was they have the same "stigma" as Jordan and Mingo. Basically a lanky pass rusher
He hates Alabama more than you bro

Where was Williams for the semifinal & National Title game? It was almost like he didn't play at all.

Yeah, that's it. Jonathan Allen is a stud & possibly the most versatile defensive lineman in this draft. I would love for the Saints to be able to draft him except he won't last until the 11th pick. I was hoping for A'shawn Robinson or Jarran Reed last draft but its always simply about hating Alabama players right?
I have constantly complemented Saban's attention to detail ahead of the games between LSU to take away Fournette & the LSU ground game. I posted quotes stating that Alabama had the only talent in the country to execute the type of game plan Saban came up for those games.
You are a retard though. Tim Williams is from Baton Rouge & a U-High grad. My daughter currently attends U-High so why would I not support a former U-High Cub? I'm just giving an honest opinion. Sorry that bothers the Bama in you. Are you sure you aren't related to this guy?
Your problem is you & most Alabama fans can't deal with any form of criticism to current & former players. You get your panties in a wad anytime any poster says something negative about an Alabama player past or present.

legal issues
Legal issues, character issues & undersize issues
Williams likely hurt his draft stock in late September with an arrest for carrying a pistol without a permit. Alabama suspended him for the first half of the game against Kentucky as a result. WalterFootball.com, however, was first to report of other off-the-field issues that are hurting Williams' draft stock as he failed many drug tests at Alabama. Multiple team sources believe Williams could slip to Round 2 and their teams won't consider Williams in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. They say the severity of his substance-abuse issues are similar to Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory, who was one of the most talented players for the 2015 NFL Draft, yet slipped to the second round. Gregory has had repeated suspensions in the NFL, and teams are worried that Williams could face a similar issue.

In this more modern era of evaluation, a guy like Alabama outside linebacker Tim Williams stands out as a player who completely shatters the mold.
Undersized for an edge rusher at just 6-4, 237 pounds, Williams has a slight frame which, theoretically, should make it difficult for him to bull rush opposing offensive tackles.
And even with his smaller stature, he is also not going to blow scouts away with his elite speed. According to a report posted by AL.com, Williams clocked in at 4.77 seconds when Alabama tested its players in the 40-yard dash.
