Defensive ends

1. Joey Bosa, Ohio St.
2. DeForest Buckner, Oregon
3. Sheldon Rankins, Louisville
4. Shaq Lawson, Clemson
5. Jonathan Bullard, Florida
6. Emmanuel Ogbah, Oklahoma St.
7. Jihad Ward, Illinois
8. Kevin Dodd, Clemson
9. Carl Nassib, Penn St.
10. Shilique Calhoun, Michigan St.

It's crazy, but down to about No. 9, it wouldn't surprise me if any of these guys were taken in the first round. Even Calhoun is going to get looks late in Round 1.

Defensive tackles

1. A'Shawn Robinson, Alabama
2. Robert Nkemdiche, Mississippi
3. Jarran Reed, Alabama
4. Kenny Clark, UCLA
5. Austin Johnson, Penn St.
6. Javon Hargrave, South Carolina St.
7. Andrew Billings, Baylor
8. Vernon Butler, Louisiana Tech
9. Adolphus Washington, Penn St.
10. Chris Jones, Mississippi St.

The biggest jump here is Hargrave, a guy many fans haven't seen but could come off the board early in Round 2.

Mel busting the mockers bubble giving Javon a near 2nd round grade.
With the meetings we've taken, I've been coming to terms with something like this:

Le'Raven or Germain Ifedi in the 2nd is happening. Not gonna be any big surprises from us this year.

The DTs are historically deep this year is the word. The top 3 to 5 should be gone by Saints #47. There could be another 3 to 4 remaining players that are 1st Rdish grade. Past his top 3, I've read great things on Clark, Johnson, Billings, and Washington. One of those paired with a 1st Rd Rankins or Lawson would be near my favorite realistic 1st/2nd Pick combos at this point.

I'll take Robinson and Nassib.

Or Rankins and Johnson.

Or Lawson and Butler.

Or Ogbah and Clark/Jones.

Lot of good players in positions of need in this draft.

yeah, it looks almost set up for the Saints needs. But will they do the predictable. Kinda feels like the several posts that we should be interested in Cook or Long leaving the Rams- then the Saints bring in the guy that most here were saying no to.

I feel like they're pretty unpredictable in the 1st more times than not. Who saw trading up for Ingram, or drafting Vaccaro, or Peat? With the being said, what would be a player that would fit that mold of drafting? Eli Apple?

Chris Jones in round 3 would be a steal if available. That guy was an animal and gave LSU fits all game long taking on double teams all game. He was basically a one man wrecking crew....yes please!

general question-

With Jaylon Smith being delayed further, possibly 2017, where does he go now? Take at #47 if there?

the vibes gotten at combine, i can't see many teams deliberating that before the 4th round. 4th or 5th is usually where teams start to take flyers.

Clark looks like a terrible prospect at LT towards the end of the season. Was he hurt?

mostly just the bowl game... Arden put some moves on him
just a little regular season hangover...

his upside from then 2nd round is unreal...
his hands are almost 12 inches... a FOOT of hand.

That's crazy talk. He'll be a first rounder. Watch.

Nobody talks about him, but I really like the guard from Mizzou. Dude looks like a perfect guard for us.

Also like the guard from AZ State. Has some quickness for those screen passes SP calls 20x a game.

Christian Westerman from ASU is legit. I've got him as my 5th pure guard.
Right around 14th best OL. He'll likely be there in 3rd.

Connor McGovern from Mizzou could go as late as the 5th round. Strong, but a bit of a project. Not as technically sound as a few others.

When the picks look like a perfect fit it makes me leery that it might happen.

from Mel's lists-
A pass rusher first, Rankins or Lawson
DT 2nd, Clark or Johnson
