rmnldr, didn't read
Now that we have that out the way:
Good:
-Deep zone coverage is very good
-Moves fluidly sideline to sideline in coverage
-Elite closing speed
-Baits QBs well
-Will hit WRs and dislodge balls when they make the catch if he's in position
Bad:
-Not physical at all.
-Catch tackler
-Lacks aggressiveness against underneath receivers and on run plays
-Can take poor pursuit angles
-Hesitant at times, leads to being out of position
I like him as a deep safety but I can absolutely see why some people wouldn't be fully on board with him. He's not a guy who will come up from the second level to help in run defense consistently and if he does, he might very well be run over by someone. He shines when covering the deep middle in cover one or in a cover 3. No one will throw deep into the seam with him there.
Will continue watching some more of him to get a better picture but that's what I see.
Let the downvotes begin.

Just posted in another thread. Still only 20. He can get a little bigger and we have guys to play near the box. I'd rather him be a natural playmaker at this young of an age.

He doesn't need to tackle.
He'll play 40 yards off the LOS, if not in the stands.

He can end up being a shut down type of guy in the deep middle and should let the corners thrive. Just hope we get some pass rush to help him and the other DBs.
Let's not get crazy now. He still needs to be able to tackle and it's a big knock on him. I understand that he'll be able to play very deep but he needs to tackle when he needs to tackle.

Tired to box safeties that can't create turnovers like when we wasted the 14th pick on Kenny frickin vaccaro
welcome young man

This is a Stanley Jean Baptiste type reach for a player that had no business going this early

If he's a ball hawk even better. We need the coverage and the turn overs. Also an extra 7 or 8 lbs. of added muscle can go a long way.

Can it be a caterpillar dick?
It certainly can. Hopefully the switch flips on and he gets a little mean streak as well.

At least you don't go Barry hirstius and copy other people's work word for word

Can't believe we passed on Cunningham while he was still on the board.

SJB... the go-to worst case scenario for the discerning ST melter

I guess that's a compliment so thanks.
I looked at his tape on draft breakdown and just typed what I saw.

SJB was a one year corner converted from WR with size and was a big project.
Williams is a 3 year starter proven to make turnovers. Has good speed for a safety.

Williams (6’1/202) made 30 starts in three years at Utah before turning pro, amassing 11 interceptions and four forced fumbles while working primarily as a center-field, single-high free safety.
PFF College also charted Williams with the highest run-stop percentage among all Division-1 safeties in 2016, and the No. 2 tackle efficiency rating. Williams proceeded to blow up the Combine with 93rd-percentile SPARQ results, including an outrageous 43 ½-inch vertical.
He also aced the Wonderlic (34) and is young for a rookie, not turning 21 until September.
We’re not sure why Williams didn’t generate more pre-draft buzz. He checks boxes across the board as a high-ceiling safety prospect and should be considered the favorite to start over Vonn Bell across from Kenny Vaccaro in year one.

Damn. I'm gonna have to watch more tape then. I don't know how this run-stop percentage works but I definitely wouldn't call him a run-stopping safety by any means from what I've seen so far.
