Agreed. But my concern is that the Saints are that one team. BB is smart and deals players at a high point. Read that Butler did not play against great QBs all season, so he will likely not look any better than he did last season.

I thought he played against the MVP?

I posted something when this discussion started about an analysis on his body of work last year against number 1 receivers and it was not great. He seems to lock down 2's but not 1's.

Regular season (that is what they used for their rankings).

I'm concerned, but he should get some great practice with Brees.

I don't want Butler. He is 5ft 11 and 27 yrs old. Saints has 2 picks in 1st rd. Saints can take two corners in this round. They will be over 6ft and runs 4.4. They should be about 205 lbs. They will match up well against NFC South WR corp. Most teams have 6ft 4 WRs in our division. Last year, Breaux and Williams was hurt. I think we need start over and draft 2 young corners. Our defense will improved in big way. Plus, Saints would spent 10 to 14 mil a year on 27 yr old corner that hasn't proven anything in NO.

CB is the hardest position to predict in the draft. If you have a chance to get a top 10 corner you do it. And 27 is old? Gtfo. I'm 27, I'm not old.

5'11 is not bad for a corner.

27 is prime age. He can still play at least 4 more good years.

So, there are a plethora of +6' corners that run 4.4?

So, no pass rusher at 11?

I think he just made up the ideal corner prospect and then said we should get 2 of them. There isn't a single corner in the draft that fits his description.

If finding these corners are so easy why haven't the Saints done it already then? Some of you acting like NO just rotates in great cornerbacks every year which is literally the complete opposite of what happens

I just get the feeling New England will hose us out of 2 picks..the 32nd and a late round pick because they know we want him BAD.

The #Saints are hosting #Patriots RFA CB Malcolm Butler on his visit now & there is momentum toward finalizing a deal before he leaves.

An update from captain obvious Ian Rap.

Something needs to happen with this one way or the other. I'm starting to get blue balls.

There will be tweets tonight that we have reached a tentative deal with Butler based on whether we can agree to a trade with the Pats.

Late tonight or tomorrow there will be an agreement with the Pats.

In a vacuum, if I had the choice between Malcolm Butler and that pick is choose Butler every time. But the context is that they just traded their best WR to NE for that pick and a third rounder.

I'm not sure how this shakes out.

Some reason I always pictured you in your late 30's early 40's. Now I have to rework my whole image of you. Thanks

Butler isn't worth 10 mil and 32 pick. I take my chances on a bigger corner in draft. I sign Snead and Vaccaro long term.
