Khiry>>>> Hightower

Not last year.

And Hightower didn't have an injury that almost made me throw up my nachos on the Superdome floor.

He was only a backup because we gave the farm to draft Mark Ingram and was behind long time vet Pierre Thomas.

he flashed every time he touched the ball. Trust your eyes

And we'll probably find another cheap bruiser. They aren't hard to find

Hightower is going to make a ton of people bang their head when you see him over the course of a full season

Bell
Ivory
Robinson

All guys we let walk. And guess what? We were just fine without them because you can pick up a hungry UDFA on the cheap.

That stat is skewed. He barley plays.

Give him a larger sample size and we'll see

Possible...but i can say the same for khiry.

Either way we are arguing about a 3rd/4th string RB. It makes little sense to shell out money for that.

If Ingram gets hurt and Spiller fizzes out, then I'll be banging my head no matter who's at RB. I'd certainly be banging my head if we paid our 3rd/4th RB 1.6 million 4 months after his ankle was dangling from his leg.

200 carries is a pretty large sample size buddy

Per Lynch, Payton said: “Parcells called this week and said, ‘Sean what are you doing? You’ve got Curtis Martin right in front of your eyes, and you’re not doing anything with him. Give him the ball.’”

Payton was coy this week when asked about that story, saying, “Yes [Parcells] and I had some discussions, but I don’t know that it was reported. It probably came in my meeting.”

"just another bruising 4th string RB"... mmmkay

Dallas said the same thing about Randle and his 7 yards a carry last year. Didnt do shite as an every down back. More carries is not an automatic guarentee of success

This was simply a salary cap decision. Have too much $ tied up at RB, Ingram and Spiller ~8mil combined, couldn't afford another 2mil for the third back.

Let's all hope Spiller can find his old self next season, and become the player we all hoped he would be. I bought the hype hard last year, I pray it was just a nagging injury that held him back.

Saints said the same thing about Ivory, who was 5th in the NFL in rushing last year.

You dont have a point.

You can say what you want....he was not getting carries over a healthy Ingram and even a healthy Spiller. We were not goingbto pay him hardly anything

That's not the point. The point you are trying to make is that a RB cannot sustain success when they get more carries because Joseph Randle didnt. Think about what you are saying for a minute and get back to me.

Lol you just did the same with Ivory. Pot meet kettle.

but you are somewhat right...Robinson wont fail because of Randle...but he wont succeed because of ivory either.

My point was it was not a guarentee of success.

Ivory played in 15 games and had less than 60 yds in more than half of them. Ivory is a fine back, but I don't want to pay him or Khiry any real money. Bruising backup RB's are easy to find and develop. My only issue is that we didn't get anything in return for Khiry. We can spend a 7th or go UDFA with someone like Brandon Wilds.
