Letting Robinson go was a bad move

I understand Ingram is the lead back, and the Saints don't run the ball a whole lot to begin with, but letting Khiry Robinson go was a mistake. Robinson is a tough runner who fights for yards and isn't afraid of contact. The Saints could have continued to have a solid 1-2 punch with Ingram and Robinson, with Spiller being the receiving back.

I mean, I understand Cadet and Hightower are probably cheaper options, but Robinson is a better running back than both of them.

Instead of signing Scobee and retaining Cadet, the Saints should have signed Robinson to a new contract. This move will haunt them. Watch Robinson break out in New York, even behind Forte he's going to perform well.

He's coming off a major injury. Spending money on a backup running back (really a 1 year deal) coming off an injury doesn't sound like a great decision to me.

And even if he does explode somewhere else, that doesn't mean the saints made a bad move.

it's kind of a double edged sword - if we resign him and he has another injury, people on here will bitch about the signing and blame Loomis. of course, since we let him go people will Bitch about it - there really is no pleasing our fanbase during the offseason lol.

he's not that good man

i mean he's a pretty good player but he's basically the same as any UDFA running back payton finds yearly

No, I was agreeing with you. Probably should have replied to the OP but I replied to you because you made the same point.

A team in the AFC that's not going to the super bowl is going to make us look bad with our former back up running back? Gotcha.

And while I understand Chris Ivory ran over us, isn't that what every other running back does as well? Not really seeing how much of a difference it makes.

i was mad at first, but its hard to bring him back off that broken leg. Had he not been injured, then yes, big mistake, as he was our best runner

Ivory, Robinson, Pierre, Cadet.....if there's one thing the Saints know how to do is find these no-name RB's. Losing Robinson doesn't affect me at all because I know that we can find a cheap back if we need one.

We def need another UDFA preseason GOAT to emerge and steal Cadets spot.

Give it back that oomph.

Are people really that mad that we didnt pay alot of money to keep our 4th runningback? (hightower earned that 3rd spot)

Khiry Robinson has 0.24 players miss tackles on him per carry since 2013 including the playoffs; 2nd best behind Marshawn Lynch. Ivory 5th

Khiry>>>> Hightower

He's a backup RB. Those are a dime a dozen in the NFL. Who cares.
