VOR, I believe you're a lawyer. Could you explain, in legal terminology, the difference and what makes this such a big issue?

This isn't a legal issue so why do we need legal terminology?

Former players are denying that the staff advocated injury and the NFL never came out with the proof that injuries were advocated.

This issue is about the Saints not listening to or ignoring Goodell's memo to stop the pay for performance program and Goodell will make an example of the Saints because he has been trying to make examples since he became the commissioner.

Simple. A "bounty", "performance pay" or whatever the hell you want to call it that rewards players extra cash was forbidden by the league. It was discussed and brought to everyone's attention BEFORE the season began. The league found out about the Saints' situation and raised the issue with Mickey Loomis and perhaps others. The Commissioner was assured that it would be looked into and stopped. That was a lie. Saints officials turned a blind eye.

So first a serious rules infraction occurred and, then, the the Saints lied to the league office.

Oh, and minor details like a twice convicted felon asking via e-mail (to Payton as I recall) to toss money into the pool. Add the fact (according to more than one source, including CBS Sports) that, generally speaking, Payton annoys the crap out of league officials because of, in their view, arrogance and the tendency to thumb his knows at them, and you've got a problem.

Whether any specific hits by the Saints were flagged or not is practically irrelevant in this case.

They already moved the opening game so it wouldnt conflict with his DNC speech. I wouldn't be surprised if he held a press conference about it. He has done stupider shite.

This isnt a political board and i wont debate you, Jerry. I'm not gonna sit here and debate. If you would like to discuss why i think its dumb that the NFL moved this game and what stupid things I think Obama has done as far as press conferences are concerned (ex. Skip Bates)then start a thread on the political board calling me out and I'd be happy to discuss with you.

Well, we've never done this before. But seeing as it's special circumstances and all, he says I can knock a hundred dollars off that Truecoat.

Yeah...the careers of Favre and Warner were cut so short because of the legal hard hitting actions.

As fans we totally need to mock Goodell's bullshite in the dome as much as we can.

Goodell: What the f*ck is your defense doing?

Loomis: Where's the damn proof?

Goodell: I am through fricking around. Drop that f*cing act. I gave simple f*cking instructions!

Loomis: Where's your damn proof we did anything wrong?

Goodell: F*ck you, man. Where's Gregg?

Loomis: Where's the damn proof? No big hits, no money.

Goodell: Drop that f*cking act!

Loomis: No big hits, no money!

Goodell: Is this a f*cking joke here?

<Suspensions, fines, draft picks, and firings>

Loomis: Jeez.

Goodell: You happy now, a-hole? What's with you people. You f*cking imbeciles.

<after win a Superbowl anyway>

Goodell: AHHHHH. You shot me in the face.

If they punish us more than the Spygate punishment, then this is a complete joke.

I say they just fine us and take our first round pick from this year...
