Of course he's a Saints fan. He only had to wait a year for them to win a Super Bowl.

Little bandwagon frick

I have a super bowl baby and got married the year LSU won the BCSNCG. My method for remembering important events in my life is a bit strange.

I have a she not a he. Plus she was 4 at the time but excitement of the '09 season got her hooked. I can relate because as a 6 year old, I got hooked during '87 season.

Don't hate! I could understand if she didn't pay much attention to the Saints after the Super Bowl but she gets excited for every game even without the hoopla that was present during the '09 season. If that's not the definition of a young diehard then I don't know what the definition of young diehard is.

My 4 y/o son always asks who the teams are that's playing. He associates them by mascots (tigers, bears, etc), never by city. If I tell him a mascot he doesn't know, such as the Ravens, he'll ask me "What's a Raven" and I'll give him a simple answer.

Well a few weeks ago I was watching the Falcons play somebody and he came up to me like always and asked "Who's playing" and I told him the Falcons. This time I asked him, "son, what's a Falcon?" and his response......."A Dirty Bird!!!".

I dont remember teaching him that, but apparently I did.

I did the same thing as a kid. When I was 4 I rooted for the Bears, because I had a teddy bear. My dad was like "No, we like the Saints." My logic was sound in my eyes, so I didn't budge until I was 5. Then when I was six, I went to my first Saints game in the dome. I was hooked from that moment.
