Glad you posted this.
JPP is going to get a huge deal. I am OK with that, we need someone at that spot, but people on this board continuously shoot low on what they think guys are worth these days. It would be an absolutely bonkers contract that has some pretty high cap hits.
30M in cap room isn't as much as we think it is. 1 superstar, 2-3 medium guys and we're done.

30mil can realistically fit a 15mil pass rusher, 2 more guys making 10mil+, and a medium 8mil guy.

so we only have 30 million to spend and the "estimate" which is always lower then reality, says he will need 15 million a year??????????????
you guys are joking if you think we can afford another player who demands the money of 3 other starting caliber guys that you cant have on the team because you have him?
we don't need any high dollar "stars", we have brees for that, we need NUMBERS and lots of them, when you need 5 or 6 new starters on both sides of your team, hell no you cant afford the star FA
if we had a "complete" team and just needed 1 impact player on defense to get us to the SB then hell ya but we literally have only half a team now and need lots of help everywhere so no, we cant afford a "luxury" star player like him
