Most prolly know he had a lot of drops. 15 to be exact. Hopefully most know he was playing with an injured wrist that will require surgery. No big news there.

HERE is the PFF look at all TEs and drops. What stood out to me is that as many as Graham had, Aaron Hernandez had an even higher drop rate (without the injury excuse). And HTF does Delanie Walker still get targeted?!? He dropped 30% of catchable balls.

Here's another big plus for next year. Count 10 of those being catches next year.

I know Hernandez was injured this year, just not sure what it was

Graham still made elite plays, but you could tell the wrist bothered him. He didn't finish a lot of games

Ya know guys I believe the drops will stop when the wrist is fixed.

My problem is his running ability after the catch leaves alot to be desired.

Ex. Gronk and Hernandez much better after the catch IMO

yep, hasn't had an issue the last 2 years

I completely disagree with this. He is great after the catch, but he is also competing for balls in traffic

well we run completely different offensive systems. Graham is going to be more in traffic with vertical routes. He has to jump up and get a lot of balls which limits the opportunity for yards after catch. Gronk and Hernandez run a lot more crossing routes in that offense and that gives them more room to run. He still finished 17th in YAC in 2011, which is 11th out of receivers and tight ends

yes, the retort is dead on. I'm not sure what games you're watching to think that he isn't great after catch. It's actually one of his strengths. Curious statement here.

As for Jimmy and drops, I don't believe he dropped 15. It was definitely more than that. It's not an official stat, and there are so many factors the unnoficial stat compilers use to determine a difinitive drop that this number is most likely skewed in Graham's favor. With that said, I agree his wrist has a lot to do with it. I give him a pass this season, because the injury is one that would directly contribute to strength and coordination with the hands.

One other point to be made about his drops is that, even if we accept it was only 15 for him this season, many of those were in critical situations that hurt the team (3rd down conversions, TD's and such). That was frustrating, and it made his drops more damaging.

Jimmy Graham was also playing much of the later half of the season with a concussion.

The sheer stupidity of some people on this board and their desire to bitch about any and everything amazes me.

Christ, he was playing with a severly sprained wrist. Have you ever tried to catch a ball with that injury?

he's not a warrior like colston! lol i kid, but the amount of beatings our receivers and rb's take and constantly go back onto the field speaks wonders of this team and their dedication to win and not about selfishness, but a whole unit.
