If you are drafting a QB in the 6th round you are essentially just knowingly throwing away a draft pick.

Because no sixth round QB has done well. I think you are forgetting about someone....

Not in general, but when it comes to the Saints 100% absolutely yes I trust what I see week in week out year after year then what these guys (who isn't even the same guy each week) see.

I was a very early memeber on the Shanle is a vanilla lb club. I was one of Ellis' harshest critics when others were saying he's fine. From the moment I saw Galette play for us I knew he was going to be a special player (and still hate that the coaches took to long to play him). I was THE founding member of the cut Cadet fan club (when you were thinking he would replace Sproles). I was ragging Lofton for his play long before most because despite the stats I saw they came 5-10 yards downfield and almost none behind the line.

I could go on and on but I watch our players very closely and know their strengths and weaknesses. I was one of the very few pounding for Olinemen back in 2013 when I saw he was getting happy feet and running for his life at times but nearly everyone said just take a fourth round tackle or guard and we'll be fine as if it was that easy (we did luck into Armstead that year though in the third). We eventually got that first round lineman and we just picked another.

And yes I was wrong a few times like Colston with the injuries slowing him down too much (though he still was making tough catches; guy is a warrior). But when it comes to this time I'm right way more than wrong with the player eval (the results are a different story).

I knew someone was going to name someone from the .35% of late round QBs taken that were worth even the slightest of shits. Also, Bulger didnt win shite.

I cant believe you didnt remind me about Tom Terrific! 7th round!

We should also use a roster spot on bag boys cause...KURT WARNER!

Tommy was a 6th round pick you moron, but he's no Marc.

Name a better Saints 6th round pick in the last 30 years. I'll wait.

He's somewhere between Pierre Thomas and Darren Sproles, with potential to be better than both.
Kamara is short, but built like a tank, nothing small about him. He can be an every down back if necessary because he can run between the tackles like he did at Tennessee. But in the Saints offense he won't do that because they won't have need for him to unless someone gets hurt which is certainly possible. It happens all the time in the Saints offense which is why they have always had a running back by committee type of offense where no one back is the main back even though Ingram had his best season ever last year. They have Ingram, AP, Daniel Lasco, Kamara and Cadet. They are set at RB this season!

Honestly if Lattimore were the best at their positions then how hard was it for Ireland or anyone else to pick them???

The tougher part is the next several rounds and only time will tell. It doesn't matter if they were five star in HS. What matters is how they perform with the Saints.

He was rated the 5th best linebacker in the draft behind Cunningham....I'm not saying he starts on most teams but we do not have a lot of talent at linebacker. He's our most physically gifted LB not named Ellerbe. If you would have watched some florida games you would have seen he was all over the field.

He's been with the Saints for about three years, right. The last three drafts have been better than what we have gotten in the past before he arrived. I know it is early yet, but I like what I've seen so far.

Hard to argue with the 2016 draft on the 2nd round alone. There will always be misses.

2017 looks good. But that means nothing until we hit the field.

2015 looks rough.

He came pretty far into the process of the 2015 draft, but he got up to speed as best he could and helped greatly in the war room.

2015 still needs another year. 2 guys with injuries and one who played a ton and then only a little.

Peat's a win. Got a starting LG. The two guys with injuries showed great talent when healthy. Anthony can still turn it around. He played well enough under Ryan (not spectacular but not terrible) but apparently can't get Allen's defense?

The QB was a miss.

No 4th rounder. In the back half tull was a bust but Swann played well when healthy. He's another like Kikaha and PJ that just need to stay on the field.

Davison was a pretty big get as our starting nose. We could upgrade over him, but he is at least a decent starter.

Murphy's a dud but was a 7th rounder.

This is definitely the make or break year for the 2015 class.
