Im not talking about drop %. Im talking about catching intended targets. 99 targets, 50 catches

Aaron Rodgers is the 6th most accurate QB of all time and yet posted his lowest completion percentage ever last season with guys like James Jones and Devante Adams being two of his main WR without Jordy Nelson and a fully healthy Randall Cobb

If Aaron Rodgers is throwing you 99 targets... and you can only catch 50 of them, whether it's dropped or he forces it to you and you cant get open... that's bad. We are talking arguably the best QB of all time. GB was on TV all the time; if you watched their games last season, Rodgers forced a ton of balls to Jones. Dude couldnt separate wit any consistency

I don't understand your point. I just printed the data you were quoting. I neither agreed or disagreed with you.

Rodgers was off last year. Definitely not his normal self. He had a career low 60.7% completion percentage, and his lowest since 2008 when he completed 63.6%.

He also had under 4,000 yards for only his second full season, and his lowest full season total.

So to blame Jones when he had so few drops is a bit disingenuous.

I'd love to see the on target passes numbers to Jones, because total targets mean jack squat. Just ask any Panthers' receiver.

I'm not going to agree we are loaded, but the cupboard isn't bare. Cooks, Snead, and Thomas are a good group and Coleman makes a good fourth. But IF someone gets hurt I wouldn't mind bringing someone in. I don't think it's necessary now.

I mean roster loaded. Not yellow jacket loaded. My point is Jones is no better than anyone we already have on the roster. It is pointless to bring this dude in. People get hung up on guys because of their play of 5 or 6 years past. The Colstons, Jones, etc of the league are at home right now for a reason.

The Saints are not "loaded" at any position. We were a 2-14 or 3-13 type of team last year without Brees helping us tread water. Take off the black and gold glasses.

What would we be without CSP? My latest algorithms suggest a record of -4 and 12.

That's funny you think Rodgers is to blame

Jones, Adams and Richard Rodgers got 50% of Aaron Rodgers targets

That's like Colston, Brandon Coleman, and Josh Hill getting half of our targets

quote:

A study of all 32 teams' top three receivers and No. 1 tight end at this point in the season confirmed that. Using 40 times of every player from their NFL combine test or, if they didn’t run at the combine, their college pro day, the Packers currently have the slowest foursome of top receiving targets in the NFL (see accompanying chart

It's not a secret GB WR could not get open last season

I didn't say anything about drops

I said he couldn't get open but Rodgers had to force him balls all year. He is not a good WR. Adams is terrible, too.

Again if you can only grab half the balls Aaron Rodgers throws you are not good

Per Mike Triplett: At age 27, Vincent Brown now Saints' oldest WR by far...

quote:

Vincent Brown, 27, gives the Saints a veteran presence they were lacking after releasing Marques Colston earlier this offseason. The Saints’ second oldest receiver, Reggie Bell, just turned 24 this month. Brown auditioned for the Saints last week with a group of veterans that included Hakeem Nicks and Denarius Moore.

James Jones should be a target for the Saints. I feel he could be a nice fit and Contribute to this offense.

Some of the Saints moves at Wideout don't make much sense to me this offseason. I love to see them give James Jones, Hakeem Nicks, Riley Cooper or Brian Hardline at spot at WR. I'm not really that high on Reggie Bell or Vincent Brown.

And at FB John Kuhn is still available..

We all know Rodgers likes to spread his balls around to multiple guys.

Not going to disagree there. Watching Jones last year he was bad at times. I'd still sign him at vet minimum as a 5-6 guy. He's good enough for that but if that's the case you should just bring Colston back who has chemistry with Brees anyway.

Yea but even a 5-6 WR, you're gonna want a younger, more spry guy who can play ST

Remember Oakland and the Giants cut jones. He led the pack in receiving last year and they don't want him back. They're turning to a young WR Corp similar to we are.

We all complained about our WR not being able to get open the past few years. I don't see why we would want to dip back into those types
