BTW Eric Martin was #2, as far as yards

I'll take prime Joe but it's very close.

Horn at his peak was absolutely better. 00-04 Horn made the pro bowl 4/5 years. Had two seasons with 1300+ with his 04 season being 94 receptions, 1399 yards and 11 TDs. He was a top tier WR at his peak. Colston was more consistent throughout his career, really only having one bad year

Even with his consistency I feel injuries really hindered what Colston could do the majority of his career.
That and the fact that Brees spreads the ball whereas Horn was Brooks' go to guy skews things a bit.
Horn was top dog his whole time with us. Colston always shared the spotlight, especially when Jimmy came on.

But seriously, imo ranking skill level of a few fan favorites

Snead/Cooks

Colston is the best. Had more longevity than Horn

The #'s say it's colston, but joe horn and Eric Martin would probably have better stats if they had brees as qb instead of brooks and Hebert

Eric Martin will always be the Saints best WR ever regardless of what stats say

Colston is top 40 for WR in receptions all time
Top 50 receiving yards
Top 35 receiving TDs
He is the greatest Saint of all time outside of Drew Brees

it was a damn shame we lost him all because joe horn couldn't keep it in his pants and was screwing roafs wife.
all the ho's in this city and he has to be screwing a team mates wife

Was about to post the same thing. And in the same line of thinking imagine Colston in the Mora system with Bobby Hebert

I say yes. Colston without doubt, but IMO. I love Horn too. 87 was a beast for us.
Joe Horn was great for us but I have to say Colston too. The Quiet Storm had balls of steel to work the seams & take the punishment required to work that area of the field.

frick that conservative arse system. It cost us division championships & playoff games.
