Literally none of these players will get in over Brees

Several of them won't get in at all.

Dude I can't believe this is even a question that you are asking. He is by the far a 1st ballot Famer and if you ask any NFL professional this questions let alone in sane sport fan they will say the same.

I just saw this thread.

Who is stupid enough to pose this question?

Why are there four pages, at this count, regarding this topic?

Hopefully it is just fans questioning why the frick someone would ask this question to begin with.

If you can't figure out my assessment at this point, you probably are debating this subject.

He doesn't have to compete with Peyton, Woodson, Polamalu, Lynch and Megatron because their clock already started.

Literally the only active player with the superior resume is Brady. After that, Fitzgerald has a chance to be first ballot. You can make the argument for Julius Peppers. Ben Roethlisberger and Adrian Peterson are likely unless their personal lives interfere. Eli has a shot because of his family and New York City. Steve Smith and Andre Johnson just another WR big numbers who will have to wait a couple of years. Frank Gore and Jason Witten might get in, but they won't get in before Brees Aaron Rodgers probably will not be competing with Brees because Rodgers will likely play a couple of years after Brees retires.

Everybody else, probably no way. You have to be a God of Football to make it first ballot at the other positions.

Yes everyone knows he will be first ballot no question. If you say no than you are either a troll or an idiot.

NFL article from 2014

Trust me, I want him to be! I love the Saints and what he has done since he's gotten here with Payton, but I'm also not being blind to the multiple subpar seasons as a team he has played on.

You do realize that it's a 5 year wait after retirement, right? You do realize that all the guys you named probably won't retire at the same time, right? Anyway click the link I've provided.

I say no, mainly on his playoff record and who he will be going up against when he comes out.

Are you serious?

Have you seen Drew Brees stats even over the past 5 years. He is a top 2 QB.

He also had more wins since joining the Saints in 2006 until bounty gate in 2012 than any other QB during that span..

His numbers are absolutely ridiculous.

His 2009 Superbowl MVP playoff season was as great as you can get for a QB's playoff run. Go look at his playoff stats that season.

It's mind boggling that it's even a discussion or question.

And he has been good in the playoffs with the Saints, so I have no idea what he is talking about.

He took a 3 win team to the NFC Championship game in his first season.

Think about that..

Then in 2009 he went dang near flawless in the playoffs on a quest to a Superbowl title for the city of New Orleans.. beating several other HOF qbs along the way..

Even lately, as I said over the past 5 seasons.. he has played through injury and posted up as great of stats as anyone.. He has been around top 2-3 in completion percentage, yards, tds.. etc.. it's just remarkable what he has done.

He's 110% a first ballot HOF. This is so freaking ridiculous to even ask.

With the Saints his playoff record is 6-4. His playoff QBR is 100.5. And he has a SB win and MVP. You're acting like its so bad that'll prevent him from being a 1st ballot guy.

He is a no doubt first ballot HOFer.

This isn't MLB.

Yep, easy choice for HOF, even if he quit today...
