Well, Ingram gets hurt at pretty much the same rate and we pay more for him than Khiry. Plus, we just signed a RB worth more money than our starter, yet he gets a fraction of our starter's snaps... Still sticking with Khiry here. Better runner with the shitty run blocking we've been having so far this season.

We might not have the worse RB situation but it is definitely not one of the best.

The bottom line is we need more than one.

He runs with a recklessness that appeals to us, but running backs like that just don't last a full season without getting dinged up.

Ingram, Robinson, and Spiller. That's a pretty damn good trio. Not sure why you think that's an outlandish comment.

Ingram is a very average back, if even that, would be a good backup until a younger more explosive back gets on the team. Robinson looks good but to soon to call him a solid NFL starter. Spiller is always hurt. ON paper maybe it looks like a pretty good trio, but on the playing field it's another story.

This place.

ETA: Our offensive line would make Adrian Peterson look average.

Ingram is not the problem but I also don't think he's the best RB on the roster. I really believe Robinson is better. He has better acceleration, vision and power. Nothing is wrong with Ingram but he definitely doesn't have the vision or power Robinson has. That said, the offensive interior has been bad outside Unger. The Gs really shouldn't be starting on this team. Lelito couldn't push any mediocre to bad lineman in front of him the past few years so I'm not sure why the hell Sean thought he'd be okay there...

CSP likes Ingram more than I do, but that doesn't change the fact that RB is a major strength of ours that is being weighed down by our interior OL blocking. He's a steady RB that doesn't tire late in the game with more carries. The Saints aren't exactly playing to his strengths right now.

Ingram is a groove back.

He gets better the more carries he gets. He is a grinder that eventually breaks something because of his physicality.

When he runs east-west is when I grimace.

Dude just needs to focus on the goal posts where the Saints will score a touchdown.

I'm fine with having two, but I'm not a fan of the running back by committee system we have been running forever. I just want us to commit to a 1 back system with a relief back.

would be good if we could trade him to a team that thinks he would be good at that. It would be a benefit to both the Saints and to Ingram. I don't know what we could get for him. He is in his prime so I think we could pull a 3rd or 4th round pick for him and use the pick to draft a RB that fits our system better.

Is there any one you don't want to trade?

For his career on carries #21 and up in a game he averages 3.5 ypc.
Last year was the only one of his career where his ypc didn't go down in the 4th quarter. He actually peaks in the 2nd and 3rd quarter with a 4.6 ypc average in both.

Due to numerous injuries we had a knee jerk reaction and overpaid to move up to grab Ingram. Thus far we haven't received enough to justify the trade but CSP seems hell bent on trying to validate the decision.

Is he the only problem for the offense?...no. The Saints do seem to move the ball better when he's off the field though. I'm not sure why he was in the game on the final drive last week. Knowing we needed a TD instead of a FG, you essentially wasted a position.
