IDK. I guess I don't want to see the team get embarrassed if they're not able. I wanna see something out of them this week on the road in a big game. I'm still going to watch every second of it no matter what.

Wouldn't it be just as embarrassing to be 10-4 but miss the playoffs?

I'm sorry Paddy but to be worried about being embarrassed in the playoffs when we are trying to go 12-4 get a bye week and be the second seed in the NFC is being a whiney bitch.
We are ALL concerned about sunday but few are tossing in the towel like you if we get a beat down in charlotte.

I'm not tossing in the towel. I just wouldn't have much confidence going forward. Not to name names, but there were many calling the team pathetic, saying frick Drew, and saying the season was over during the game last Sunday. About all I said is it was shitty, and made a thread shortly after the game saying that it all comes down to this game. This game will show us who this team is.

I hope so. I want the win, the #2 seed and the bye, but if I see some improvement from this sloppiness (because honestly it's been a lot of sloppiness), and we're focused, playing hard and are competitive, it'll at the very least give me some hope for the playoffs.

Yeah. Doubt that happens though. As long as Arizona loses one more game we are in correct? They play Seattle and SF, so I doubt they win those. Obviously not how I want them to get in, but I'll take it if they end up losing Sunday. Do I think they'll do well as a wildcard? Probably not, but I would at least like to see them try.

To be fair, we lost to Seattle on the road and St. Louis. But so did Seattle, sh*t happens. There are obvious problems on this team with how they come out flat in these away games. It causes them to not match up physically with their assignments, leading to blowouts. They have to address this issue, whether it be personnel or motivation. I do really think we have the talent and coaching, but if they come out next week with the same ole sh*t, we have no chance down the stretch at all. This pussyfoot underneath-route offense is not going to win games for us.

Who cares about getting "embarrassed?"

Why do you care what anyone else thinks?

You never refuse an opportunity to win it all.

You're calling the saints mentally weak.
What is this thread then, if not mentally weak?

From hosting a playoff game and being the #2 seed to praying other teams lose so we get in by default.

My how quickly things can change in a week

Well technically our position hasn't changed one bit. We still control our destiny for the 2 seed.

I think a lot of fans are bracing for the loss to Carolina, and therefore looking at who else needs to lose so we can get in as a wild card.

Maybe I am mentally weak. I keep watching though. I'm just hoping that they'll respond. I was so sure they were going to handle business last week.

So you'd rather zero chance at a Super Bowl vs a snowball's chance in hell?

If the winless Lions were offered a shot at the playoffs that year, you think they wouldn't have taken it?

This is idiotic.

The thing is there aren't that many good teams in the NFC. Seattle and… yeah. What does it say when the Saints are the second best team in the NFC? Down year for the conference. Which makes it all the more frustrating this team has had such a hard time getting it's shite together.

Uh, I'm pretty sure the AFC is weaker.
