one of the most decorated players in LSU history. Did more in 2 seasons than most players do in a career, play after play after play, etc.

That has nothing to do with him being an incredible steal in the 4th or 5th round

Yeah but they didn't screw over my college's football team

he owes LSU nothing. He did more for LSU than almost any other player in our history, especially from a marketing standpoint

. So I don't believe he can go a whole season without having to serve a 4 game suspension.

If Vontaze Burfict can make it through a whole season in the NFL, Mathieu should be good.

What do you think will happen when he has money and is in his hometown?

Claude Wroten II?

Wroten had a chance at being a first-round pick after LSU's season ended, then police stopped him for speeding in Sterlington, Louisiana, on January 4, 2006, and arrested him on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Wroten was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the third round of the 2006 NFL Draft. On July 25, Wroten signed a four-year, $2.415 million contract with the Rams.

He served a four-game suspension in 2007 for violation of the NFL substance abuse policy.

On July 23, 2008, Wroten was suspended without pay (he was due $445,000 salary) for the 2008 NFL season for his third violation the NFL's substance abuse policy

Wroten was signed by the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League on August 17, 2009.

On April 21, 2011, Wroten was signed by the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League.

Wroten signed with the Edmonton Eskimos on August 9th 2012.

Wroten signed with the Marion Blue Racers of the Continental Indoor Football League for the 2013 season.

anthony hargrove had a drug and alcohol problem prior to coming here. he didnt have any problems when he got to new orleans. its not impossible to at least stay under the radar in the nfl.

People who write this kid off are going to learn. He might be my favorite college player ever and I didn't even go to LSU

If the saints draft him, lance Moore becomes my 2nd favorite player and I have to get an HB saints jersey

If we draft him in the 5th round and he gets suspended for drugs, who gives a shite?

How many 5th rounders are even in the league a few years down the line?

the guy commits to every ball thrown and every play 100%. I've never seen a player with his ball awareness. Go watch the highlights from the uga and see why he would be an incredible 3rd corner. Hell, he played great at safety when reed went down

He's under-sized and isn't a very good cover corner. LSU fans are going to say "but he makes plays"... true - against weaker opponents but you don't play many North Texas's in the NFL. Not to mention, who are you going to take off the field to put that guy on instead of?

He is an undersize for a shut down coner, but for a Nickel back/ Free saftey he isn't that undersized. Some of the top FS in the leauge are under 6'. You can not teach or coach ball skills and feel for the game, and that is what TM7 has. I'd take him in the 4th in a heartbeat.

He had a good 2 years but all that sticks out to me is his absolute BUST of a game against bama in the 2009 BCS Championship (his biggest game of his career to that point).

He had big plays but the ones I remember came on special teams or punt/kickoff teams.

So again, my point was - he's not a good cover corner in college. He surely won't be one in the NFL. Did I make that clear enough?

The dude has ridiculous talent and we need all the help we can get in the secondary.

For a late pick and if he were brought in for the Nickel. I see him doing well in the nickel, but outside of that is a mystery. He's a playmaker for sure, and he could potentially do well. I hyped Mathieu up to many before his breakout season. I was a fan of the guy, but over time he has become as ignorant of a player as I have ever seen. It's not his talent that I doubt, it's him.

His attitude is terrible. I like confident players, but he lacks real character. I was hoping his stupidity would've brought forth some self-realization. I was hoping it would've made him shut up, and humbled the guy.

Same ole Mathieu if you ask me.

@Mathieu_Era: I don't expect ANYBODY to believe I'm going to be the greatest... I mean, people didn't believe Jesus when he said he was The Messiah

DD, I like you man and I hate LSU as much as the next guy but he had more than a good 2 years, and who hasn't looked silly against bama's D. 3 top 15 picks looked ridiculous against Bama.
