I said Armstead hasn't proven he can play a full 16 game schedule. He hasn't.

his first season he started filling in at tackle late in the year.

you gonna penalize him for that?

then he had 2 other years where he played most of the time.

then last year he only played 7 games.

so basically, you are knocking him for getting hurt last year!!!!

I thought you watched more games but maybe not??

It would be a luxury pick like Peat was. We didn't need a tackle then and we don't need one now.

That's fair. But what if Armstead gets hurt again?

No one wants Peat at LT. Strief is 56 years old. Who would you put there?

Robinson is way more athletic than Peat. If Armstead were to miss a game and it came down to Peat and Robinson playing LT, you can bet your arse CRob would make the move over Peat.

I'ma let you finish, but our lined played by far their best last year when Armstead was out, Peat was at LT, and Kelemete at LG.

Strief was also the best RT in the NFL last year according to PFF so that's not saying much that Peat couldn't beat him out.

So 6 sentences stating Armstead hasn't proven he can hold up for an entire season. Nice.

Mm.. don't know bout dat. I realize Chopsley Strief supposedly has good stats but every time I see him he's getting beat like a drum. Armstead is great but out with injuries a good bit.

I love Zach Strief. Don't get me wrong. But he's old and getting slower by the minute.

you have a tackle insurance policy already, his name is Peat.

you don't draft another one when there are 4 uninsured areas (DE, WR, CB, and S) and seems like there will be quality there. this OL draft is WEAK, even including robinson.

Cam Robinson won't be picked by the Saints anyway.

Bye.

I guess I should have prefaced this thread by saying if our need positions weren't there. We should take any defensive help at 32 if the talent is there. Absolutely.

Strief struggles against speed. But he adjusts after a while once he learns what moves those guys are doing.

Plus if a team is putting a speed guy over him and he's getting beat that's on Payton for not having a TE chipping. That's blocking 101. If someone is struggling, pull them or help them.

No thanks I'm hopeful that either Jack Allen , Landon Turner or Avery Young develops into a starter after next season

Terron Armstead is considered a top five NFL left tackle, and is going to be a starter for a long time. Played hurt and not going to get beat out of his job by anyone soon.

I think that once he gets money in his pocket, he won't be able to stay out of trouble. Pass.

There's hope for him on the right side but many believe he'll just be another fat Crimson Tide member who could hold all day with no punishment bc the refs were blowing Saban.

So many of them have been exposed by stunts in the NFL. Fluker is one of them

he ran a 4.5 at 6'6" 250, there's not a chance he is there at 32 and could go in the top 15.

Too many good defenders will be left on the board to take Cam at 32, but I think he goes before that anyway
