I know the business well and I am not implying the money they get paid isn't deserved, but..

The Saints were at their best BEFORE all these monster deals got done....THere was more money to secure good players on both sides of the ball, therefore making the team better.

This is pathetic....so enjoy the money guys, the wins won't be there. And whats equally amusing, is the offense is struggling now too.....hmmmmmmm I thought all this cash was supposed to secure our great offense....

Hurry back SP!

Lofton....etc....

Also I'm guessing you didn't say all this at the first of the season. Not bashing you, but you are just like every other person trying to be the cool guy to say this same thing. The fact that you didn't say this before the season has gone downhill proves that.

29 ppg without your head coach and playcaller is struggling? Stupid post is stupid.

We have no GM to make changes. We have no head coach to direct those changes. We have a defense built to blitz nonstop, but without playmakers, and this is made more evident by the switch to a coverage based defense. I'd be willing to be this unit looks a lot different next year.

Actually we have A LOT of high priced defenders that are playing terrible (ie Smith, Ellis). Our offensive guys contracts like Brees and Colston are not the reason we have bad players on defense. Their contracts did not hamstring us at all this season.

Yep. Isn't it 3 first round defensive linemen we have right now that are playing like crap.

Going to be a long week on this board with the tards coming here to share their "expert" thoughts.

What do you fricking people want? We have a top 3 qb in the NFL, would you rather NOT pay him and let him go somewhere else so we can have slightly better defenseive players across the board? We definitely overpayed for lance, but other than that what would you have us do.

Colston-low end of a contract for his production and "star" receiver
Lance-Overpayed
Deverey-bargain
Morgan-Bargain

PT-market
Sproles-steal
Ingram-slotted draft spot
Ivory-bargain

Graham-steal

Bushrod-right around market value
De La Puenta-bargain
Grubbs-market for a pro bowl guard
Evans-Huge deal
Strief-low end starter money

Collins- cant imagine its much

who are ALL of these high priced offensive players you are referring to?

on 2nd look lance singed for 5 years for 20 Million...not too bad. I only say overpayed because I think with everyone else that has to be accounted for when we're clicking he could be replaced for less.

I dont expect a response.

No shite. Do they think these players are going to play extremely below their market value? You have to pay them if you want to keep them. I'd rather pay someone like Drew then say, Mario Williams. There weren't that many big defensive free agents this past year. He was the biggest one, and he has pretty much sucked so far. Not to mention, it isn't like we aren't paying defensive guys the league minimum or something. They are getting paid, too. They just fricking suck.

I was going to say I disagree with the Lance Moore claim.

I'm not sure who these goobers are thinking the problem is with the offense. They still are mad at Drew for holding out. Because he should have just taking what they offered and been happy I guess.
