I get wanting a higher draft pick, but I’d rather make the playoffs than not.

Any year you make the playoffs is better than not making the playoffs. I saw two 9-7 NY Giants teams win the Super Bowl. You never know. Who is playing really great right now? Baltimore? Who is unbeatable on the NFC side? San Francisco still looks the best to me, but it’s as wide open as I’ve seen it in a while. Get in the playoffs and who knows?

When have we last drafted great anyway?

at this point, being in no man's land. Give me playoffs.

Its different if you won 4 of the lst 5 useless games pushing you out of top 5 into 10-15 (hello Chicago)

Carolina last 2 home games...
Beat falcons
Lost to GB in OT

I doubt they win next week, but TB isn't a world beater

Hell, we just saw the eagles lose an important game to the Cards

Carolina gets to somewhat play spoiler. For some reason it feels like teams get up for those games. Just hoping Carolina has some type of motivation

As bad as Philly is playing the Saints could beat them at home, I wouldn’t think they’d get past the WC round but definitely better that missing the playoffs

Just nice to play spoiler to the bucs and win a couple games. Getting to playoffs won’t matter, we don’t stand a chance against any of them.

Yeah one first round pick isn’t going to transform this team into a winner.

I agree, which is all the more shame that the team has probably pissed its playoff chances away. I want to beat Atlanta badly next Sunday, but the path to the playoffs requires a lot of help from other teams now even if we find a way to stop their run game and win. If only the Saints would have decided to come out and punch some of the teams they lost to in the mouth in the first quarter like they did against Tampa, instead of waiting to the second half to decide it was time to start trying.

Making the playoffs is worst case scenario.

It sells FO on the notion we are on the right track and there is at least 2 more years of this.

No established coach or even an up and comer is going to rush in to save the Saints if DA is fired. Too much age on this roster. Too much salary cap issues.

New Orleans will be where coaching careers go to die for at least the next season or so. Might was well cherish having a shot at the playoffs while it’s there.

Same. We'd likely beat Philly if Lattimore came back and we played the exact same game versus them as we did Tampa.

And then we might get Detroit. We could beat Detroit fr fr.
