If I'm the Cowboys, I do that in a heartbeat. If I'm the Saints, I laugh and hang up the phone unless Dallas is willing to throw one or two 1st rounders at us.

Dak is their future. Drew doesn't have too long left. They wouldn't make that deal imo.

Saints wouldn't either. I imagine we'd want someone to learn under Brees, not immediately replace him. Like Aaron Rodgers not Andrew Luck.

Interesting thought. Dak folded like an umbrella coming down the stretch.

Sure didn't fold in that playoff game

Dallas with that trade would be the odds on favorite to win the Superbowl by a wide margin next season.

And then they would lose in the playoffs because their defense still needs a another pass rusher and some defensive backfield help.

The Cowboys offense will be fine with Dak. QB is not their need. But they need to work on their defense. Spending another 20 million on a QB doesn't help the defense.

The simple answer is no way, Drew's contract is a franchise killer.

Totally hypothetical, but Drew has a good 3-4 years left. With Dallas' OLine and the rest of their offense, we're talking about a serious SB run with a veteran, Hall of Fame QB at the helm. Would Dallas make that trade? Would New Orleans? I'm not advocating for it at all. I want Drew to finish here. But, it was an interesting thought. Would you make that trade?

Only if the Saints acquire the rights to the remains of Johnny Unitas and make it a 2 for 1 special.

No. One is beginning a great career. The other is washed up holding a franchise hostage with his greedy salary

NFL Defenses adjust to rookie QB's after a season of film to study. You may say Dak will get better, I say he will have a Sophomore slump. Meaning no Playoffs!
