Whoa!!! I've never seen that one.

You know it's a shame that free agency just started and this is the thread at the top of the page.

The simple fact is, the team the "settles" for Manning will be kicking themselves in the arse when they realize they should have been focusing on MATT FLYNN! Manning is one "hit" from looking like a "slinky coma". Flynn will be the next premier QB in my book. Perhaps the Saints should be flying Flynn to NO for a meeting or two!

This is turning out to be a really good thread. If this is what you were going for, good job.

I know the team has been busy with the Bountygate stuff, but it's a shame we didn't make any kind of push for Peyton. This is the second time we've missed out on a premier QB to pair with Brees. Back in 2008, we made no push for Favre when he was traded to the Jets.

It would have been a great story of Manning coming home to end his career and the Saints showing trust in QB's who were coming off career threatening injuries. Just imagine how awesome would a dual shotgun with Brees and Manning have been. I can forgive Bountygate but not this!

We just resigned Chase Daniel. Manning wont want to be a third qb. He wants to step right in and start.

I think Wizz is right. Brees is a shell of his former self and Manning was playing at a high level before the injury. Add to that how greedy #9 is being and its clear the Saints are making a huge mistake by not trying to sign Manning. Having both of these guys on the field at once would give the Saints a distinct advantage.
