literally stupid that a bunch of fans who watch football for 3 hours a week think they know more about what a team should do than the paid professionals who work for it

well the saints FO has been very bad for 4-5 years at least and the draft is one of the low points of this history

I'll admit I don't know much about him and I would have preferred Scooby Wright or Vadal Alexander. With that said, the more and more I read up on him, I'm loving the pick, massive DE who can finally set the edge opposite Jordan.

I don't hate the pick at all, or even that we traded up for him if they like him that much. Fairley is only here on a one year deal and he can contribute part time.
My real problem is not grabbing any o-line depth. Now unless we trade back in, we're waiting for the 7th round.

Just gonna exclude that we had a great draft last year with numerous first year contributors and appear to be doing it again this year?

Thats all well and dandy but there is no saints fans in existence who could have stepped into the FO's shoes for those decisions and done better.

EDIT: It's like stupid people who think Alabama could beat the worst NFL team. It isn't even close, the worst NFL team would piledrive Bama 100-0. It's the same with this. The worst front office in the league's worst fricking scout is better at scouting and knows more about the business than anybody on this board

Slap a 2017 4th for a 2016 5th and get Westerman or Vadal and I will be glowing.

Last year's draft looks pretty good, and I LOVE this draft so far. I'm pumped.

I noticed that many of the OL that are being mentioned are STILL available. So obviously 31 other teams agree that they arent graded to be taken right now.

You guys wanted Billings, some said either him with the last pick ir a Guard, well they picked a DT who they liked better

Draft isnt over.

If we can somehow grab Vadal in the 7th I would fap, but we'll see.

Last year's draft was great.

This year's draft looks solid.

Just read a bit about the Canadian. Could be great.

Towards the beginning of the draft need is more of a factor. As the draft goes on it becomes more strictly BPA.

Its starting to look like he could be there, there are a lot of "top guards" left

I'm more saddened by passing on Whitehair for Thomas...

I like Thomas, but I think Whitehair could do a lot more for us immediately.

While true we really needed a third legit WR (assuming he works out) more than a third potential starting guard.

With all the three wide sets Coleman wasn't going to cut it. He's a good 4 but a poor 3.
