@RapSheet: After his #Jaguars visit, the plan for WR Greg Jennings included a FA visit with the #Saints, source said. Played with Rodgers. Brees next?

Yeah, gets you some depth and experience for a good price. But if it doesn't happen. That's cool too.

Bush provides great depth for our two safeties that have been injured. I can see Bush as a draft day trade but not now.

Trade Bush for what reason? If we get Jennings it will be for the minimum so we don't need the cap space.

I'm sure he doesn't want to sign for the vet minimum but his market isn't exatly on fire.

If it comes down to the Saints for the vet minimum or the Jaguars for a little more money, why would you not take the opportunity to reestablish your market with Drew Brees???

Bush was outplayed by the other 5 safeties on our team... Trading him would be ideal

That's laughable. Trade him if a good opportunity comes along but they're not trying to dump him.

don't need PFF stats to tell me he takes bad angles and misses tackles and can't create turnovers.

For a guy that played minimal snaps before Vaccaro and Byrd got injured, he costs 1.95mil and can be cut with 0 dead money loss.

He had a really bad year last year, and wasn't being used much for some reason early in the season

He was great in 2013, but it isn't illogical to question his role on this team since it hasn't been consistent

You seem to just post stupid attacks like that instead of providing any insight...

rant is to the left btw.

doesn't take a genius or PFF to tell me that his pass defense/coverage skills aren't all that. The fact is, he's average at best.

He costs 1.95mil against the cap with 0 dead money. His snap count was horrendously low to start the year as opposed to 2013, and he only got playing time when Byrd went down, followed by his own injury.

Sorry, but 1.95mil could be used better elsewhere than seemingly situational player considering RR didn't deploy a 3-safety set often at all.

why are we talking about bush in a greg jennings thread?

id love to sign jennings. dude has played well in a shite offense with a shite qb(s). I think he could be a steal on a cheap one year deal.

Agreed. We could use proven guys. He'd make a great 3rd WR that could move cooks to the slot and be a role model along with colston for all the other young guys.

Would love to get Jennings even if it is a little over the Vet minimum. IMO, we could cross off WR in the draft for at least the first five picks and get an O-lineman and 4 defensive players.
