2009 NFC Championship game against the Minnesota Vikings.

What do you think?

Our offense struggled in that NFC Championship game. The only reason we won was because of all the turnovers our defense created. The Super Bowl was a much more impressive performance as a whole.

we played like shite this game. We were lucky to come out with this from the help of the Vikings miscues.

When you say "greatest game," do you mean greatest ending or greatest we've played in the game?

Because the greatest Saints game I saw overall was Saints/Pats primetime in 2009. We brought the whoop. That's when everyone said, "alright these guys can play."

Greatest game I saw in person: Saints at Redskins, Dec. 6, 2009, featuring the infamous Meachem strip-and-score, and a furious comeback for an OT 33-30 victory. This was truly a team of destiny.

That was the most fun game of the year.

I remember exactly where I was.

We fricking dominated the Pats in front of the whole country on every conceivable level.
I believe Drew Brees even came away with a perfect passer rating.

Definitely the game I have rewatched the most. The Dolphins game from 09 has to be up there as well.

But the Redskins game is when you started to believe they were going to win it all. Such an improbable victory. All they needed was a gimme field goal to go up by 10, likely a 99% chance he makes it considering it was extra point distance... and he misses it.

I still think the Vikings were the better team
but we hung in till Brett Farve threw over the middle.
The stakes...the Super Bowl.....

God bless you Brett Farve,

That might be the only time a team EVER made Brady's arse quit. And quit he did. That was awesome.

The Patriots game in 2009 is when I knew we were going to win the Superbowl.

I'd go with the 2009 game against the Redskins. Best Saints comeback ever.

The NFC championship game against the Vikings wasn't the most well played game by the Saints. But in terms of pure emotion, anxiety, importance, it's the greatest game in Saints history. You didn't feel like you took a breath for 3.5 hours. Then the sheer joy the win brought will never be matched. I don't think it's hyperbole to say that for that one night all of NOLA was unitied. Black/white, rich/poor, it didn't matter. Everyone who was a Saints fan experienced the same level of joy.
