More than any claims that he wussed out in games he did not produce, it is just the proof the Saints need to pay him only as an elite TE. The Saints lacked a true No. 1 wide receiver. Defenses adjusted to that and shut down Graham. If Graham deserved to be paid like an elite #1 wide receiver, defenses would not have been able to take him away.

You know what great player do, catch 16 TDs in a season. You know how many guys have done that in the last 5 years? Graham, Gronk, Calvin Johnson.

Please reference my stats from my above post. When facing physical and/or legit defenses, he completely disappears.

Why would you sell the farm for someone who only produces against average teams and gets completely shut out when it counts?

I love Graham. Phenomenal talent and I would love to keep him. However, he isn't a Calvin Johnson or Fitzgerald type guy. This season has proven we can't count on him as the go to when we need it most.

Hopefully after what happened this year, he'll realize he needs to toughen up, learn how to fight his way off the line and not be completely shut down by any physical defensive presence.

Trade him to the rams for there draft pick they still have the redskins I guarantee they would take him and mark Ingram of our hands for that pick. That's two areas of what they need.

If this is a GIANT PUSS then I wish we had a team full of them.

86 recp
1215 yards
16 f@cking TD's
0 fumbles
#1 target of Drew Brees.

the gripe is that he's got pushed around, dropped passes, let far too many balls get knocked out of his paws.......

Seriously, the Brees deal went down to the 11th hour… and 59th minute. This isn't going to be resolved neatly.

He had 3 bad games NE, St. Louis, and the last playoff game. In the other 5 he went for at least 40 yards and totaled 5 TDs. That's disappearing?

Typical overreaction.

He's the best player at his position, you don't let your best offensive weapons walk and expect to win.

You're telling me Sean Payton altered his offensive strategy for the 2013 season to avoid franchise tagging JG as a wide receiver? Wow...

That does sound crazy, doesn't it??

Problem is, this year against the defenses that were physical with him he had:

26 rec
291 yards
5 TD's

Car 5/73/1 (Away)
Car 6/58/2 (Home)
Stl 2/25/0 (Away)
Sea 3/42/1 (Away)
Sea 1/8//0 (Playoff Game)
Phi 3/44/1 (Playoff Game)
SF 6/41/0 (Home)
NE 0/0/0 (Left with injury, can't remember when though)

That's an average of:

3.25 rec per game
36.37 yards per game
0.62 TD's

Unless he toughens up and learns to overcome physical defenders, teams have exposed him.

The Jets didn't try to be 'physical' with him? Pretty sure they made it a big deal.

What about the other players stats in these games? For the most part you listed games that the entire team played like poop. Brees had a Peyton season at home and an average season on the road/against good/physical defenses (save carolina at home) too.

I can't believe I'm agreeing with this, but he's has shown that he can be neutralized by physical defenses. He's a giant puss that can't impose his will.

So do you think JG is worth 10 mil a year?

Here is your top 10 average per year, WR salaries.

Obviously, there are a few on here you'd like to have. However, his number falls right in line with Marshall (who will cash in on the next one) less than Wallace, Bowe, Jackson (I'd rather have Graham).

Calvin Johnson $16,207,143
Larry Fitzgerald $16,142,857
Percy Harvin $12,849,000
Mike Wallace $12,000,000
Dwayne Bowe $11,200,000
Vincent Jackson $11,111,111
Brandon Marshall $10,000,000
Andre Johnson $9,685,714
Greg Jennings $9,000,000
Victor Cruz $8,600,000

To answer your question, easily yes.
