Good news for Saints and HBs in FA

The good news about Ingram becoming a FA this year is that the market is flooded with comparable HBs who are 28 and under. I was worried that his price might go up because of his age and how shallow the HB FA class was last year, but this is a class flooded with young HBs with potential.
So even if we don't resign Ingram there are plenty of good potential replacements out there.

Sorry I had to do something before I could edit that in:
FA List
R at the end stands for RFA.
Ingram may still have the best combo of youth and potential but there are so many backs out there that it would take someone derping to overpay him(which some team are prone to do so....).

So, I'm looking at Bradshaw, Todman, and Vereen.

That's it? I see a lot more. Not saying I see a lot more I like more than Ingram, but a bunch of these guys would be good in a rotation with Thomas and Robinson.
It's at least enough "names" to drive market prices down for sure. Last year was a wasteland.

I'm not saying it's the only guys I'd mind getting.
But it's the ones I'd like upon first glance.
Some of these guys are a bit older.

My inside source says Payton wants Ingram back, but Ingram isn't happy with how he's used.

I'd worry about Bradshaw's age. Vereen could be interesting with us.

Darren McFadden is only 28? Seems like he's been in the league for fricking ever.....
i like Helu Jr, Vereen, and of course Murray, but Murray is gonna command stupid money....

I thought the same thing. When I saw McFadden was 28 I thought it was a misprint. He just seems old and worn down. Maybe playing for Oakland does that?

Vereen or LaMichael James would do justice for this offense

Give me vereen. He's a beast catching passes out of the backfield. I trust him enough to carry it 150 times over a season as well. If he averages 4.5ypc, 150 carries, and catches about 70 catches and about 8 yards per he'd put up:
675 yards rushing
560 yards receiving
675 yards rushing
560 yards receiving

this is the reason i'd love him here.... we run the screen game pretty often, comparatively anyway, and he'd be a natural fit...
Spiller, if not for the injuries, would be a great fit too....

Vereen.
Spiller is more explosive but his injuries make him a no way in my eyes
