We really should have got the player just 5 min away. Even better.

No reason to go all hyperbole but the Saints fricked up not drafting Collins for the OL
Right??? And even in UDFA he went to loomis and Payton and said I LOVE LA I WILL PLAY FOR MIN CONTRACT! And they said NO!! frick LSU!! Now he is the best OLinemen in the NFL

Let us never forget Lester's draft grade of Debo.
21 (52). Atlanta Falcons: Deion Jones | Grade: D
(Pick acquired in trade with Houston Texans)
The Falcons were looking to add speed to their defense and Jones certainly fits that description. The problem is getting blocked too often in the running game and missing too many tackles when he gets to the ball carriers (105th in class in tackling efficiency, missing one of every 6.5 attempts). His overall grade ranked 129th among linebackers in the draft class and he was the 250th player on the PFF Draft Board on athleticism alone.
ETA: Jalen Collins has also really stepped up this year after Trufant got injured.

LSU players were always undervalued during the Miles era. When they get proper coaching in the NFL they flourish.

The way Debo has moved sideline to sideline since high school, how in the world could PFF rate his athleticism so low?
Eyeball test greater than PFF....

Nah, he worded that weird. What he meant was, he was only at 250 because of his athleticism. They graded him basically as "fricking awful at football" while in college (which he basically was). The dude is a freak athlete but never put it together at LSU. He was missing tackles like crazy and couldn't cover anything. So yeah.

Debo was a Cornhusker commit and LSU flipped him relatively late

Hindsight!! We traded up to get Bell. I wished we would have gone up a little more and gotten Jones in the 2nd round!!

Don't need to have to reach like that, this fo fricked up 2 years ago. They could have had a good ilb with Kendricks > Anthony.
One guy was elite measurable with some questions with average football iq
Other guy had above average measurablea and elite football iq.
We picked the measurable > iq without a coach who could teach, we went up with a dumb lbers who is an foot too slow.

Simpler version: Jones sucked at football in college but is a very good athlete

Will you please stop pretending to know what you're talking about?! You still think Grayson is the answer to replace Drew? Just please stop acting like you're a scout! I'm about to barf

Debo Jones was a better pick than Michael Thomas.
I'll bet this is how most of your posts are.. uneducated and hollow.
Saints Talk might as well not even exist on this site if this is the kind of takes we're getting here.

Right, because everyone who evaluates and scouts players gets everything they say right grow up dude

I pointed these same things out above. Dude couldn't cover or tackle in college. All I did was explain why some places had him rated low. Why are you so butthurt?

Weaknesses
Only one year of starting experience. Slightly undersized. Tightly bundled frame may leave little room for additional mass on his frame. Needs to be diligent with hands or he can be engulfed by second level maulers. Diagnoses well, but instincts inside the flow of play are a work in progress. Needs to improve consistency as a tackler. Not as downhill as he could be limiting his production on tackles for losses. Loses track of his coverage in space from time to time. Showed some signs of fatigue in fourth quarter against tempo-based teams.

Everyone who watched his one year at LSU the I know only questioned why he had not been starting for the previous three. He was the best player on the d last year.
