and with Brees still here and our defense still terrible, a solid young LB fills a much bigger need in the total scope of the team than a solid young WR... imagine having him and Rankins, along with Bell... all 3 levels of our team would have been taken care of in one draft...

Both Thomas and Jones are playing great and both are rookies
I am glad we picked Thomas bc he has been a beast plus with Vitt as the LB coach there is no telling how much he might have screwed up Jones

I use to think a FO and coaches job was tough in the NFL but you have just broken it down to its simplest form.
Just fill your team with LSU players and you will be the best team.
The problem is going to be when all 32 teams discover your formula how will there be enough players to go around? Perhaps a push to open several LSU's all around the country to feed game winning players to all the teams. Worth a try I guess.
