We bore the brunt of Roger's power trip. Sucks for us, but it needs to get fixed at some point.

Goodell got torn a new arsehole in court per the usual.

What's shocking about this?

All player bounty gate suspensions were thrown out as well. Problem was there was no way to fight team and coach fines/suspensions (Kraft just ate the $ suspension).

BS part for Saints fans is that our fines/suspensions that stuck were way more damaging (lost SP for year and 2 high draft picks). The reason for heavy punishment had everything to do with the pending concussion lawsuit which also was BS.

ALL of this.

I want our damn draft picks back. Based on this decision I think we would have a strong case.

Losing Kraft will be Goodell's downfall. It's the beginning of the end, still sucks the Saints got hammered for something the whole league was doing and can still do under the table.

I think Sean and Mickey are second guessing themselves for not fighting it. They lost a ton of money.

Players did. Unfortunately the coaches really didnt have a good way to fight (no Union or CBA like the players). The Saints organization didn't fight bc for whatever reason they just don't in these situations (every time NFL fines a team/owner they just eat the fine).

And the judge was correct in doing so. The CBA clearly states that the punishment for tampering with the ball is a fine. There is no suspension tied to this. Furthermore, there is no proof that Brady stated the balls should be underinflated or tampered with after the refs checked them.

And, in regards to the not cooperating with the cell phone, the league did not differentiate that in any the documents that have been made public(I.e., 2 games for tampering, 2 games for not cooperating); so there was nothing for the judge to uphold the suspension for.

The argument/anger should not be directed towards Brady. It really needs to be at the league & RG for going soft on the team and the Coaching staff. This is where the comparison should be made towards the Saints w/ the alleged bounties. Our team & coaches were punished for not having control of the situation and that they should have had an institutional knowledge of the things that take place within their team.
