From the Rookie Symposium today:

quote:

#Saints WR @brandincooks says he'll spend two weeks in SD working out w/ @drewbrees this summer. Early ROY candidate.

if fans expect too much, he will disappoint...I think he'll have a lot of receptions for a rookie and a few impactful plays though

What's too much to expect? Why not Cooks for ROY? One could easily argue that he ended up in the best case scenario out of all skill position players for immediate impact for their respective teams.

He's already better than Steve Smith.

The guy was insanely productive in college, and he has the measurables.

a QB or RB is more likely to win...rookie WRs need some time...and there are a lot of balls to get to Colston/Graham/Stills.

I think he'll have a good year and be great in the future...just not expecting too much

I just don't think he will be able to generate the numbers for a ROY type season. Graham will get most of the balls thrown his way. Then you have Colston, PT and Stills and then Cooks.

I think he will do better than most rookies, I just don't think he will be the focal point or full time starter that is needed to be ROY.

I really think 35-45 receptions and 3 carries will be what he gets this year. IMHO.

We dont learn our lessons.

Reggie 2.0

He'll start off strong. Get double covered and extra looks from the defense. Stills will rape defenses while they concentrate on him. By game 14 this board will start with the "Is he a bust" "Trade him" etc....

Thankfully he'll have a big hand in us winning a superbowl and everyone will continue to shite on him.

i could definitely see him getting those rec/yds. possibly even surpassing them.

the rushing att/yds is harder to predict. idk if we really give him a rushing play nearly every game, especially with our "more traditional" run attack game plan.

Very feasible and honestly, I think he surpasses most of those.
