I take a Panther negative as a Saints plus. The more change and instability, the better. Kinda in the same vein of expecting some offensive letdown in Atlanta with Shanahan gone.

Panthers announcement

PFT- All of that suggests something behind the scenes prompted this move. It is worth noting star TE Greg Olsen has thrown around the idea of a holdout, LB Thomas Davis is entering his contract year, and Gettleman did not handle the departures of either Steve Smith or Josh Norman particularly well, a fact NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports bothered owner Jerry Richardson.

Wut?! The dude was a drafting guru. He's never had a bad 1st round pick, this shite is stunning.

Purely because of Josh Norman, I guarantee it.

and Steve Smith

He tweeted- It's okay Dave, I know how you feel with a laughing pic

ALSO add the departure of DC Sean McDermott to Buffalo as a Carolina - and Saints +

Yeah Gettleman is a hard balling dickwad who doesn't give a frick about the players. Absolutely zero relation to the talent.

But while it worked for a bit just like in NY, you start losing the respect of the players and letting your best players walk, making it harder to attract good FAs.

I'm not sure I'd count this as a Saints plus yet as Gettleman had them going the wrong way, just like what happened in NY. Depends on who the replacement is.

That said I've mentioned earlier how two of the biggest positives for us was Car losing McDermott and Atl losing Shanahan. That will have a huge effect on both teams.

Deangelo Williams: I want to publicly say @Panthers is off my list of teams I won't play for due to the firing of that snake Dave gettleman!

Like I said he doesn't give a frick about the players.

Makes for a great negotiator and cap manager, but you lose your players both literally and figuratively.

Gettleman is no gentleman.
I believe you have to hit a happy medium of being about the business without giving the players the business or eventually you have a hard time bringing in free agents.
